A very good campsite, well maintained, road going in far but I think is worth for a few nights stay. Good tour and tours guide, is it more suitable for family and elderly people to visit. Been to kings canyon before cobbold, a little disappointed. If the other way round will be great.

We stayed at Cobbold Gorge for two nights in a Boundary Hut (part of the Cobbold Explorer package). We drove a hatchback out via Forsayth and the roads were fine. The Gorge is a fantastic location, and we enjoyed the entire experience. Staff were excellent and the tours were great.

Our stay at Cobbold Gorge Village was fantastic. We stayed for 4 days but could've stayed for longer. We had a camper trailer ensuit site that was absolutely perfect for us. My wife I and 2 young kids had enough room to around our trailer to play badminton and other games. The service at the restaurant was good and the dining was great. We borked a bit at the price of the gorge tour... but, when we did it on the 3rd day. It was completely justified, it's a must do. No internet or phone service was an inconvenience during a family emergency. They did have both at reception only.
The walks are very peaceful and we enjoyed going to the lookout. The stay for us was so calming and enjoyable, we have decided to return and have it as one of our regular stays for a get away.

If I could give this place 20 out of 10 I would !
From the second I contacted them till when I left , it was a great experience.
The gorge tour was something I will never forget.
I did a choppa flight that was unbelievable. For a bloke missing an arm, the encouragement I received I even did the stand up paddle board , so glad I did.
I will go back here as THIS is a jewel hidden that many miss out on.
Did I mention the pool with a bar?
Grant runs this place with passion and everyone loves being and working here.

A long drive from Cairns but well worth it. The tour was great and Tania our guide was informative and inclusive to the group. The amenities are clean, modern and well maintained. The infinity pool was a hit with the big kids and the cafe was spacious and clean; we even had the pleasure of a lace monitor run past us. The only downside was the camp-site areas through to the amenities is rocky. A suggestion would be concrete paths to the amenities.

Great destination where everything has been thought of. Amenities so clean. Great coffee, excellent tours and brilliant staff. Unpowered Campsites are shady, spacious and inviting. Welcoming atmosphere in the public spaces due to pool, bar, restaurant, community fire pit (lit by staff every night) and kayaking dam all in very close proximity to each other. SUP tour was perfect. Cool, shorter duration and beautiful scenery. ||Roads in were very slightly corrugated (Jul 24) in parts but not bad at all and only for short distances. (2WD vehicle had no issues). Forsyth is also worth a stop for lunch before you arrive to have to setup camp.

An Outback Resort with restaurant, bar & Infinity edge pool. Drive in Caravan Sites with power/Water/waste, make it easy for short & long stays.
Gorge Tour with the Savannah Guides is well worth the $$

Disappointing. The hype did not match reality. In one word, overrated.|Do not believe anyone who says the road in is "great". The last 7 km are fine but probably maintained by the owners. The other 35 km are shocking. Maintained by council.|Tour guides are exceptional. Without the knowledgeable and personable guide, this tour would have been a flop. |The gorge itself was pretty but not jaw-dropping.|The village lacks activity options for the wider demographics. |The boomerang infinity pool is beautiful to look at but way too cold to swim in July. I'd recommend they use some of their solar to warm the pool a little.|Check in staff member Karin needs a good boot. Insolent and patronising.|The camp area is a bit of a distance over a rise to bistro. This walk somewhat hazardous because of rocks & stones. One could easily go over and sprain an ankle.|Limited, erratic Wi-Fi only available on reception balcony. An area approx 10 x 3 meters. Not good for taking telephone calls. No privacy whatsoever.|If you do choose to go to the gorge and viewing is only available with a Savannah guide or in a helicopter ($199 for 15 minutes), stay in Forsayth then get the bus in for your tour. You will save yourself angst and your vehicle damage. The pub in Forsayth has friendly staff, good menu and food. At Cobbald village, breakfast, lunch dinner need to be pre-booked. No walk-ins.|Would I go again? No.
