This beautiful place I have now visited 2. 1 time for food spa detox and whole body massage today for head and feet massage. I’m so happy relaxed and feeling good inside out. After both treatments. The atmosphere the setup around the clinic and in the treatment room are delicate. I am a professional healer, therapist and massage giver. So I have tried a lot in the last 25years in this field. This is by far in my top list of experiences. So give yourself a gift or a.friend go for it you will never regret. Yours sincerely

Unfortunately, today I have met the worst massage therapist after one year of being a patron at Massage Mavens. Never had such a negative experience, and never have I walked out halfway through a massage service ever in my life. First off, her attitude was extremely rude to start off as we came into the shop. She displayed an air of arrogance even as she greeted us. That should have been a red flag. When we asked her questions, she just shrugs her shoulders.
As she did my massage, she put her whole body weight on me and I actually couldn’t breathe and just using her knuckles. After 10 minutes, I tried explaining one side of my body has different pain and knots hence why the pressure needs to be different. She then tried explaining she wasn’t using much pressure and even pressed her knuckles on my arm to demonstrate. I said ‘that’s all good and well, and I understand remedial massage needs pressure, and this wasn’t my first time getting one, however if a customer is voicing out that they are in pain, perhaps you as a therapist need to change the pressure and listen as this is my body and respect that.’
Without apologizing, she asked if I wanted to change therapist or a refund for the remainder of the service. As I was getting ready to leave, she just walks in on me changing and tries handing me a hot towel. I declined as I was ready to leave such a hostile environment.

As I walked out, she handed me the refund cash without apologizing. I said where is your boss as I would like to speak to them, she said she isn’t here. I told her she needs to inform her boss and get her boss to call me. No apology still from this staff at any point.

The establishment’s boss was extremely professional. She called me and asked what exactly happened, and after I have explained everything, she agreed that her worker was out of line. I reiterated the customer is not always right, but there needs to be some mutual respect in customer services and I got none.

The matter was resolved very well and that is why I am providing a 4 star, as apart from this one arrogant and rude staff, the other masseuse are lovely, polite and good with their massage techniques.
I will still be a patron of Massage Havens.

What a treat! My partner and I desperately needed a massage and Lee, Eva and Rose were amazing. Cannot recommend enough if you are in Cairns.

A game changer! I've lived with knots and varying degree of shoulder and neck pain for years. I first visited these guys to reduce excessive pain and returned for a cupping session. I left with my knots removed and have full motion of my neck, shoulders and back for the first time in almost 6 years.

I can't review these guys highly enough.

The signage at the shop advertises that you can claim in your health fund, in my case bupa. The massage therapist told me that the hicaps machine wouldn’t recognise my card and gave me a receipt to claim back. The medical fund has communicated that the owner isn’t registered to enable a claim. Very bad service…. I am currently away but will visit the store and demand a refund upon my return.
