The Mackay Turf Club was a wonderful venue for our wedding reception. Velvet is incredibly accomodating and was so easy to communicate with. Velvet and head chef, Tim, were open to a feast style banquet and created a whole new menu for us to choose from. On the night, the team were professional and worked together seamlessly. The food was beautiful and we had good reviews from friends and family the following day. Highly recommend organising an event here.

My husband and I recently got married at the Mackay Turf Club and were very happy with the service they provided. From start to finish they were easy to work with, went out of their way to make sure that everything was how we wanted it and just couldn't do enough for us. Everything was reasonably priced and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was amazing, we have had comments from many of our guests how nice the food was. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The gardens and function room were lovely. I would happily recommend them to anyone.

We paid $140 for the champagne bar for the melbourne cup day 2023. What a half arsed organised event. The cost included 10 drink tickets and ma's pizza in boxes. Upon arrival we were notified that the Tab was not working and we had to go down stairs away from the venue we had paid for to put our bets on. Later that day just after he Melbourne cup race finished all Tab outlets at the turf club were not working and we could not bet or cash our winning tickets. They also ran out of champagne glasses at 4. They also said if we collected the used glasses they would wash them for us to use. When we brought up our concerns. We were all asked to leave the venue. We will never be back.

Great venue to hold a wedding ceremony & reception. Staff very friendly & helpful & all for a reasonable price. Velvet, certainly knows her stuff. 👍👍from the brides family.
