Fantastic Stay – 10/10!

I had a wonderful experience at Tropic Coast Motel in Mackay. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, making my stay very enjoyable. The management and staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating—they even allowed me a late check-out, which was greatly appreciated.

Super clean and comfy motel and the people running it are very sweet! Was originally going to stay here for one night on a road trip but ended up staying 2 nights after reading a book in the room that showed us all the different things to do in and around the area. We were then able to be booked into the same room when we asked to extend our stay which was really nice. They also have good little amenities here; a BBQ area and tables so you can eat outside (along with plates, utensils, cups in the room), laundry machines and a small outdoor pool. A really good motel for a good price, would recommend staying here if you need a place to stay in Mackay

Very friendly and accommodating owners, with much helpful information. They even helped me to recoup some money for my trip with their advice! Made late check-in easy for me, and were flexible with holding a vacancy for me during an extended visit. Well run and pleasant accommodation in a convenient spot. Price was good for the standard of the accommodation. Nice distance from the airport.

Customer service was very hit and miss - my partner tried to drop the key back and the man in reception was very dismissive and rude, you’d think we put him out of his way to be there.

All in all 5/10 experience as he ruined any sort of comfortability for us.. strange fella.

Really enjoyed my two night stay, clean rooms with comfortable beds. Close to shops and the Shamrock across the road does awesome meals. Management were very nice and helpful.

Friendly greeting upon arrival, treats in the bar fridge was very sweet and kind. my girls loved it had wifi. Overall stay was perfect for myself and three girls under the age of 14 yrs old. Everything was close by where we had to attend a work xmas party. Will be booking in future weekend adventures we take,

The motel managers were the best host you could ask for always accomadating and felt welcome. The WiFi was the best WiFi I've had at a motel most don't work but this is fast and great.

The room was very clean and spacious with good clean facilities for kids too.

Only 1 thing I could recommend is a broom for long stays to clean the floor with kids.

Has a laundry on-site too with the hire of an airfryer very happy.

Had a two night stay in two different rooms as we were not sure if we were staying a second night until later in the day. Both rooms were spacious, great showers, comfortable beds. Kids (9 and 4) both loved the playground and pool. People were absolutely delightful to deal with. Also a great pub across the road for easy dining options. Or there's microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge in the room for an easy stay in meal. We will definitely be staying here when we have to stay a night in Mackay again!
