Located on a beautiful beach, this resort is great. The managers, Jenny and Len, are extremely helpful and welcoming. The inhouse room service meals are very nice. There's not much in the way of local stores so take all that you need and relax. A hidden gem.

Don't even bother. Owners are grumpy, verbally abusive, intrusive and unapologetic. Will enter your room at any time and go through your belongings. Alcohol disappears from the bottle. Do NOT stay here. Hap point hotel is by far a better place and their food is far better. 0 stars.

Horrendous. Just a terrible experience from just after we arrived right up until we left. Will never recommend this place and if I could give negative 10, I would.
Mice. Mice above the bed, scratching allllllll night long. Manager tried to blame it on a tree but there's no trees ON the roof above the bed Inna double story unit. I've heard mice before and this was most DEFINITELY a rodent.
Leaking bathroom tap. Drip....drip.....drip.....drip. aahhhh, was infuriating. They didn't want our kids there. They make that apparent by also have a dump of a playground. No nice playground deters the kids from making noise.
Male owner extremely grumpy, AVOID at all costs. Yells at people instantly and tried to intimidate.
Oh.. don't ever sit on your balcony in the evening and have a drink... They get very annoyed at that and send their little dogs out to investigate so they can show up and listen to what's going on. Very intrusive.
They DEMAND you leave the property when they clean. We didn't need a mid week clean but they barge in and make you leave or go outside.
DON'T leave alcohol around...it will disappear!!
Just, honestly, don't bother as you will be on edge the entire stay, wondering if they enter your unit with their own keys while you're gone. Lock your valuables in your car if you leave the unit. No safe is allocated. Also no smoke alarms so it's a death trap.
Nothing much in the area at all so do yourself a favour and stay in Mackay.

Second stay as it's close to terminals. Jenny, owner, recognised me from nearly five years ago. |Very quiet with beach a few metres away. Townhouse type accommodation which is very roomy and would easily accommodate a family of 4 or two couples.|Restaurant and bar available with room service.|Continental breakfast put in room each night (at request).|Small pool and play area but I like it as it's quiet.|WiFi being installed which is good for business travellers and quite fast.|No real amenities in town, just a bakery, takeaway, pharmacy and hotel (with bottle shop) and nearest shops really at Sarina or Mackay.

Too far from everything but clean tidy and safe. No shops or conveniences but really nice beach access. Internet is no good. If not with Telstra, phone and internet service will be patchy.
