From the moment we arrived we felt like we had arrived in heaven. My business partner and I were looking for somewhere quiet and lovely to stay on a hectic tour of far north Queensland. We were also on a budget. Noreen has lovingly created a tropical paradise home away from home. We each had a lovely bedroom with very comfortable beds, air conditioning and separate bathrooms. I especially loved the relaxed Balinese decor throughout, however the breakfast on the patio overlooking the Coral Sea is worth the stay alone. Sublime!

Thanks to Noreen, our very caring and nice host, that let us choose between to rooms and showed us the beautiful house and garden in the Balinese style. It was great to just sit on the terrace, enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the sun go down. ||The bed was big enough for the two of us and the whole room was nicely decorated and cleaned. ||Thank you for the amazing breakfast the next day and the wonderful conversation we had while we stayed at the house.

Loved the Balinese style. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful garden with a beer watching the water. The bed was big and comfortable and so was the bathroom. It would have been nice to have the bedrooms facing the water, but the house design would have to be reversed at much cost I imagine.||Noreen made us feel so comfortable and welcome! We loved the beautiful breakfast.||The price was affordable and we certainly felt we got value for money.||Thanks Noreen

Noreen is a lovely lady but her home is cluttered with lots of artefacts and things which hasnโ€™t been dusted in some time. Nor has there been much maintenance. A broken tile in the middle of the kitchen is very sharp. The shower head in second bathroom is broken. |Stairs lead down from living and third bedroom to toilets and at night are very dangerous. |Noreen didnโ€™t seem keen for us to use the aircondioning in the living area as we had to ask her for the remote which she had taken into her private space. Nor was she keen on us using the spa saying it was broken by a previous tenant and heated up quickly but if we want she would show us how. We eventually found out and it worked fine. |Noreen lives in an attached room with itโ€™s own entrance when the house is occupied but she still potters around the back area when we are not around which is part of our rented space because she moved our things around. Also her door is opened onto the back area and it feels like she is watching what your doing all the time. |We did love the view and the spa it was a lovey tropical outlook. If you can cope with dust and your privacy being not so private. |You will enjoy the spot. |

We stayed for only one night but what a wonderful stay. Noreen and Terry were wonderful hosts. The choice of bedroom was ours and both were perfect. The one we chose had a magnificent bed which was so comfortable. The deck, gardens and view were fantastic. Great breakfast and our hosts were so informative and great to speak to providing some wonderful for our trip north. If you want a drop of paradise then stay here!

Our enormous (belated - sorry!) thanks to Noreen - who took in two weary travellers who'd been driving for 14 hours and gave us our choice of two beautiful rooms and guided us to a local store for a much needed bottle of wine that we drank watching the sunset in her stunning garden. We were up again early and on our way down the coast but not before she gave us a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended - we only wished we'd had longer to stay and relax in this tranquil spot.

Noreen has a fantastic location, amazing house and was such a great host. Went out of her way to buy gluten free bread for our breakfasts. Nice spaces and garden in which to relax. Hot tub/spa and BBQ facilities. Full use of kitchen.||Need a car to get about and don't forget the bug spray anywhere in Mackay

What a beautiful piece of paradise, private, welcoming and very peaceful.||We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host Noreen welcomed us with open arms and made us feel very special with drinks under the palm trees overlooking the ocean on arrival. We walked to the local tavern for lunch and enjoyed our evenings watching the sun go down on a perfect day. Perfect stay, we'll be back.
