From the moment I rang to ask I'd they do delivery from the moment I received my awesome delicious ? meal I had nothing but friendly helpful service.
I have to say is got to be the best Chinese I've had.
Chilli beef extra extra hot finally matched my level of heat ?.
Special fried rice was so yummy and the sweet and sour pork was also so yummy.
Definitely worth it and will definitely have again next time I'm in Coonabarabran

A pretty good place to go for a succulent Chinese meal. The portion sizes are generous and they have some great dishes. I would recommend asking what the best choices are as some are more succulent than others. The restaurant is at a golf club so can be busy at lunch.

I was disappointed with this restaurant.
Bland Chinese food lacking basic garlic ginger and acid. I managed to finish but my dish of Pork with Peking sauce was stodgy with a one dimension sweet sauce.
Partner's seafood dish was a little better.

Free camping at the golf club and decided to have Chinese for dinner
WOW! Make sure you hungry as the meal sizes are more than enough and no problem catered to my food allergy.
Be stopping on our return trip.

Travelling through Coonabarabran for work and some of the other reviewer's photos from Lotus looked appetising so we decided to give it a shot! Got the sweet sour pork and Mongolian beef lunch specials and both were super great. Hot, tasty, with excellent fried rice. Decently priced, and a good sized serving. It was very quiet when we went for lunch, and the service was friendly, helpful, and quick. Nice views of the golf course too.

Very slow. Ordered 5 dishes included rice. Over the space of 2hrs hour we received the rice first and then nothing else for over 30mins. The last dish arrived at almost 1.6hrs. Ridiculous service do not dine in, they prioritize takeaway. Gave us the wrong meat in at least one dish, delivered the wrong meal. Very small town so not much on offer.

Having first tried the Golden Sea Dragon Chinese Restaurant and walking out utterly disappointed with the food and service, and rudeness of the woman at reception, I was recommended by some locals to give Lotus Chinese Restaurant a go. From day dot, the quality of food, standard of customer service and prices matched that of Sydney (unlike some of the highly inflated prices you can get in some pubs and restaurants around the region). And ever since day dot, I've been a regular. During Covid, the restaurant saw a huge increase of takeaway orders, which meant wait time was sometimes a bit longer than usual, so it was great to see that this restaurant had the support of locals. I would highly recommend any out-of-towners, or those new to the area, to give this place a go. A++
