I have to say that I was impressed with the entire set up. This review is for 1st February 2019 at my first show. Burdekin Theatre put on Wicked: The Untold Story of The Witches of Oz and it was fantastic. Well done Burdekin Theatre! I also loved how the foyer was set up tastefully with the bar open. The evening was a lovely experience.

Well, what can I say! This 473 seat proscenium arch theatre certainly serves its purpose in the small town of Ayr! The seats are quite comfortable with a reasonable amount of leg room between rows. It also features a most professional sound & lighting system & the acoustics are most effective! Add to this a rather comforting air-condition system and one's in for a really enjoyable evening/matinee at the theatre! The foyer enhances one's feeling of well-being with its licenced bar, bistro and comfortable tables & chairs.
I attended an extremely professional and enjoyable stage production of 'The Sapphires' in this theatre.
Indeed an awesome way to spend an evening!

This a a true hub for the Ayr community. Beautifully designed building with first rate facilities. Plus an amazing water feature and sculptures at the front of the building, featuring local birdlife and animals in bronze, very impressive.

Came here to see Phantom of the opera a few months ago. The theatre is a little old, but acoustics are good. The performers were excellent and i teared up at the end. Foyer serves drinks, convenient toilets and drinking fountains. Good experience! ^~^
