If you're looking for a tidy place to lay your head at night this is the place, if you're looking for fancy upmarket accommodation this is not the place for you. Our apartment (21) was tired and run down, but a good paint job and a quick trip to the local hardware store will fix that. The staff weren't seen much, but when we rang to let them know the fridge wasn't working, they arrived with a backup almost straight away and it occurred out of business hours. The location was fairly accessible to the main town but you would need a car as it atleast 10-15 minute walk. As we hired a car we weren't concerned about this. Overall our stay was pleasant and we would return if the property was updated.

From the time I spoke to the Manager, Warren to the end of our trip nothing was a problem. The unit was clean and comfortable and was regularly serviced. Heather the receptionist very kindly did a favour for me posting a letter. It was in an ideal position for getting to other places and there is a good pub around The corner which does big cheap meals. Will always recommend.

I was in a fully self contained unit, with a nice kitchen and laundry, I rate it 9/10 only because I thought the floors could have been a bit cleaner . The bed was comfortable, there was 2 single's in the bedroom .. The bathroom was perfect. everything was really good, the linen seemed to be immaculate, and the aircon in the bedroom was quiet.. There's a pool, that looked great but I did not use it. The manager Warren, was a true gentleman, nothing was too difficult for him, he even carried my bags upstairs. I stayed 2 nights.. its a 15 minute walk to Cairns Central shops / train station or Woolworths... probably worth 9.5 out of 10 ... Thanks Warren!...

First impressions were not good! Roadworks at entrance, thirty stairs to apartment (no lift), new management had begun five days before! Assistance given to carry luggage upstairs for which we were grateful. However, balcony overlooked road with constant traffic and construction noise, so was unusable at busy periods during the day. Brand new dishwasher installed, however only crockery, cutlery etc for two so not enough to warrant its use. Two saucepans, two pots (of doubtful heritage), quite insufficient for self catering. New washing machine and dryer, but no detergent supplied. When requested dishwasher powder was brought up. Not our value for money expectation.|On arrival we were shown around the apartment by management who found curtains without hooks fitted and several lights not functioning. Although promised, these were never attended to during our twelve day stay. Bed linen and bathroom towels were changed once in that time. Pool towels were $5 each if needed for our stay.|Apartment was clean and tidy on arrival but in need of major refurbishment. Barbecue was very dirty when we needed to use it, but after reporting that it was cleaned. Undercover parking was a plus, as were air conditioning and fans.|It is hoped the new management will work towards upgrading this establishment as its proximity to the Cairns Hospital would be to their benefit for business.

Friendly service. Had a few problems with internet and unit appliances over our 4 week stay, but were all sorted in pretty quick order. Small unheated pool was used by us and a few others, but in August the water was pretty cool. Units showing a bit of age, but was kept clean and tidy. As our stay was a bit longer, we had to prompt housekeeping for a bit of extra cleaning on the weekly service, but was provided with no problems.

The place is past its 'use by date'. Old and tired.
Lack of power points in every room.
Problem with the TV. Had to resort to casting from my phone.

Water pressure was beyond dreadful. Impossible to shower.

Office staff very friendly and helpful

The apartment is in a pretty good location with some nice amenities!||||It's very spacious with an equally spacious balcony. Your kitchen is fully stocked and even comes with a dishwasher and coffee press thing (I don't drink coffee). There's a pretty nice bedroom with a big bed and curtains to block out the sun. The rooms have a lot of natural light. The apartment had a washer and dryer which was a very nice addition.||||The TV was pretty big (maybe 32"~) and in front of it was a couch and a matching single seat chair next to it. Service was spectacular at the front desk. They were very accommodating to hold our luggage on our last/first day and were always very friendly. Pleasant working environment. ||||Location is fantastic. Right in front of the central shopping mall (2 minute walk to reach it).||||Nice pool and 'hot tub' on the roof of the hotel which lead to a great view of the surrounding city, hillsides, and ocean. Good spot to soak some sun too if it's a sunny day.||||Cons:||- Very thin wall by the kitchen/living room side so it's not advisable to make a lot of noise||- The shower has no curtain or glass sliding panel||- The shower itself is very lackluster. Barely gets you wet (spreads out WAY too much). I had to point it at the wall when I turned it on since it just sprays everywhere and there's nothing stopping it from hitting the floor. Water does not get extremely hot just decently above warm temperature so your bathes won't be the most satisfying.||- Try to get a room away from the front face of the hotel. There's a tree of birds that like to get horny at night and will keep tweeting until 0000 - 0100. They're hard to hear if your balcony door is closed and TV is on, but if the TV is off you can faintly hear them getting it on.||||I personally thought this was the best hotel I stayed at in Cairns for my stay when compared to my other ones (Cairns Plaza Hotel, Cairns Southern Cross Atrium - a close tie-in for first, and THE WORST Cairns Rainbow "Resort"/Inn)

We booked this apartment as we had 5 people all needing accomodation together. I manage a dance troupe and we were looking for a clean, spacious unit that could sleep 5 people individually. This unit did not disappoint!! Well priced, Very clean, fantastic amenities, big kitchen with everything you need, comfy beds and very central to the city centre. If your looking for a base to relax and explore the city. Look no further!!
