This was the worst experience I've ever had staying at a hotel.

My rooms' front door lock was broken so I could not lock my room, I went to the reception at 5:42 pm to ask if I could change to another room however the manager locked the doors and turned the lights off and hid, the reception close time was 6 pm.

A random worker who was the after hours attendant which (I didn't even know they had as the manager never told me) said he'll unlock the reception door so I could tell her, she straight away had a go at the attendant saying don't disturb me, then she put her hands up in the air and had a go at me too, saying I was suppost to ring a door bell and get this attendant instead which I didn't know was even there, he only just introduced himself as I was at the door.

She put her arms up and said to me,'What do you want?' Very rudely.

But she was supposed to serve me anyway as she was still on duty for another 18 minutes.

After I was shown my new room, the manager proceeded to have another go at me looking at me through the window of the room saying 'you're too fussy we don't need your kind here, and I'll give your room to someone else'.

I was professional with my request to change rooms, and I had a good reason to ask as there was a warning sticker on the door from the Queensland Police stating to keep all doors locked.

This is totally unacceptable and is unprofessional service and behaviour. No paying customer should experience this behaviour and abuse.

How is she even a manager? What a disgrace.

This looks very bad on the Comfort Inn Hotel chain, I'll never return.

If you care about your health and well-being, do not book this hotel.

I stayed in an extremely dirty room infested with cockroaches, as shown in the attached photos. The poor hygiene left me with severe skin irritation and painful rashes, even though I’m generally very healthy and have strong skin. Staying here affected my health significantly, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Is there anything more disgusting than watching cockroaches crawl all over your bed and even emerge from your blanket? Unfortunately, I had to witness this horrifying scene with my own eyes during my stay at this hotel🤮

To make matters worse, there’s no staff available after 3 PM. If you arrive later, you won’t be able to check in.

The room facilities are ridiculously outdated—particularly the hairdryer, which looks like it belongs in a museum rather than a functioning hotel. It’s hard to believe this hotel is rated 4 stars—it’s laughable and completely misleading.

This is my first time leaving a negative review, but I feel obligated to warn others based on this terrible experience. Please don’t risk your health or waste your money here.

I saw online this property is 4 star. It is defiantly NOT 4 star. On arrival the after hours manager was very very rude. The rooms are 50 years old and basic which is fine, what's not fine is the mould in the bathroom, random noises the toilet makes day and night, patrons smoking next to no smoking signs and hearing the neighbours coughing in bed. The location is great but I wouldn't stay there again.

Good Chinese restaurant - nice food and the price is reasonable. The shower room window is terrible - tall guys can easily peek into the shower area - this makes my female family members very discomfortable!

Checked in for 3 nights, reception lady pleasant and friendly, and that was the end of our positive experience.||Room was dingey and dark. Bathroom was disgusting, bath was brown, needed a good clean. Shower was over the bath, and there was no hand rail to hold on to when getting into bath which is difficult for people with mobility issues. Bugger all power points around. No cutlery, plates, bowls etc. We asked for these and a toaster, which was delivered 15 minutes later, absolutely filthy. No way would I put bread in that. The cutlery was dirty like someone had just used it, as was the bowls and plates. Very very disappointed and will never stay there again. When we booked in, we were told we were upstairs, I asked if there was a downstairs room available as my mother is elderly. The receptionist found us one and said it was an upgrade. She had to be kidding, an upgrade.. Would hate to see what the other rooms were like. We left after two hours and found another place to stay for three nights which was so much better than The Comfort Inn, and much healthier for us. ||The pictures available to entice you to book here, is not what it is like at all.||Cost was $459 for three nights. I made a complaint to Management, and also through booking.com which is where we booked this accommodation. Management offered to refund us for 2 nights, even though we were only in the room for two hours, they would not refund the 1st night because we had "been in the room"... Reception lady contacted me two days later apologising for our experience and said they would be talking to their cleaning staff. Need to do a lot more than that.

What a disappointment. The only thing comfortable about the room was the bed. It is sparsely furnished, with a table ant two cheap plastic chairs with no arms, nothing like the chairs shown in the review photos. The only other furniture is a small coffee table and a built in wardrobe containing the fridge, kettle etc.|No microwave, not even a toaster.|And the bathroom looks like the tiler was drunk, with tiles curved up the walls and down to the drains, making the floor, and especially the shower, quite unsafe.|I deliberately phoned this property to request a ground floor room with a walk in shower, explaining that I have mobility issues, so I am not happy at all with what I was allocated.

Please, please, please include in your brochure/ad that the bathroom is NOT suitable for elderly or even slightly handicapped people. The floor is like a bowl. The shower is inaccessible if you are short because in order to step in, you have to stand back several feet to avoid the incline. Once you're in, because inside is like a bowl too, it would be impossible to get out. May I suggest you at least put handicap rails on the tile side of the opening? Not sure if it would help, but it couldn't hurt. I am 5' tall and have a bad back and I could not get into the shower no matter how hard I tried. The bed was beautiful, but it would be great if you provided a soft pillow as well as the firm ones on the bed. We did not eat there as the breakfast was not actually on site. The front staff were friendly. I would suggest also that if you require guests to smoke on the sidewalk out in front, you should furnish ashtrays as the entrance was littered with cigarette butts and could prove to be a fire danger if someone isn't careful.
