“What a fantastic stay”!
From start to finish our stay at BreakFree Cairns was amazing! Valter the Manager is definitely an asset to this property! He was so very welcoming, answered any questions that we may have had, showed us around the apartments and was generally just very pleasant. The room itself was absolutely stunning, the view and location is 10 out of 10. Facilities in the room, cleanliness all just excellent! We won’t be staying anywhere else when we come to Cairns from now on. Thank you again for such a beautiful stay!

We come here every year and it's always a pleasure to stay here!
Just a note, we stayed for 3 weeks, and housekeeping was only once a week. That's fine! However, when we ran out of toilet paper and tissue boxes, we always had to ask the front desk or buy them at the nearby supermarket.
Please leave extra supplies for long-term guests.

Me and my mum just stayed there this week room was good view was lovely.
Staff were amazing and lovely .
If booking with them do not book room 205 the bed is horrible I ended up sleeping on the couch all week as the mattress made my back hurt . Staff did offer us another room and we said we would stay in our room because of the view. Room was clean they just need to get a new mattress for this room and it would be totally amazing.
So when booking make sure u don't get room 205 it a garden view right near the pool ..

I love hotels that have the bedroom seperate. It allowed us to put our toddler to sleep and we get to have some time off in the evening. Not possible when the hotel is just a room with a bed. This hotel also has the perfect location. My only thing I wish I could change is to make the bedroom door an actual door and not just blinds.

Location was the only positive for this place.

- One of the air conditioning units in the lounge room did not work.
-The sheets were dirty and stained along with some of the towels. (photos below show the sheets, there was more stains.
-The bathroom had barely any toilet paper, no body lotion or conditioner and was not super clean.
-The photos were very different to the place and there was not a separate bedroom only shutter doors which did not shut all the way.
-$25 fee for not washing used dishes but was not given any dish soap to wash up my washed dishes.
-there was rubbish was the bed side table as seen in the photo below so I know the place was barely cleaned.

Three nights for $500 for a place like this is ridiculous I could have stayed somewhere in the same area for a lot less and gotten the kind of service. I would NOT recommend staying here.

Once again we really enjoyed our stay at Breakfree. Valter, Sophie and the rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful. When the hairdryer was found to be faulty Sophie had it replaced within a couple of hours. We arrived after an early flight and Valter, after checking the room had been cleaned, let us in early. We stayed in a recently upgraded room which had been freshly painted and a new TV had been installed. The room was bright and had an exceptional view over Trinity Inlet. We stayed for a fortnight. and made good use of the washing machine, stove top ( tricky to use) and the BBQ in the beautiful gardens! The bed was comfortable but the furniture could be upgraded. Breakfree's location is excellent being directly above the Cairns Night Markets and next to the wonderful Rattle and Hum Hotel. Of course that does mean that it can get noisy and there is associated noises from various businesses but that's to be expected and the double glazed sliding doors worked a treat. It's directly across from the Cairns lagoon and close to everywhere you need in Cairns. We really loved our stay!

This was truly a great location, great views and had everything we needed, cooking facilites separate bedroom, for a perfecft weekend. Very clean and well looked after unit. Will come again.

The service we received was great as soon as we walked in we were greeted by Valter, who was friendly and helpful the entire time we stayed.

The room was nice enough but does need a fresh coat of paint, and there is slight water damage in some areas, not quiet like the photos, but still nice.

The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the shower was great. We had a garden view, which was wonderful. We had a bird bath right in our view, which was beautiful. We loved seeing the birds taking their baths, and we could see the reef eye as well, which was very pretty at night.

The hotel itself is right on the esplanade, so close to a lot of restaurants, the lagoon, and the marina. Being that it's self-contained did save us some money not having to buy every single meal, which was convenient.

The price was reasonable as well. I would recommend that if you're looking for a self-contained unit that is budget friendly defiantly worth a look.
