It’s cute and lovely here the staff are nice and there’s a local cat and dog roaming around. The bathrooms could do with a lil updating as our light flickered like something out of a horror movie. The kitchen could also do with a few more basic cooking tools as we had to improvise quite a lot. Pool was nice, needed a bit of cleaning.

We spent 3 nights here and would happily return. It was clean, quiet and well appointed in the rooms. Reception were friendly and helpful, even letting us check in several hours early! The location is an easy walk to the esplanade. Plus there was an adorable fluffy cat in the reception at night so when we came home from dinner we had a quick pet 😍 this is an excellent budget friendly option in Cairns!

The room was very big and the check in was super easy and the lady behind the counter was very friendly. After living in cairns for 10 months I can say the location is great because it’s just outside of the main main city centre but still super good located and coming with that it’s super quiet. The only downside was that the light in the room is a bit bright and very white so it’s not the most cosy atmosphere. The kitchen is equipped well and it’s possible to make a full meal. Just have in mind that there might not be any salt, pepper and oil Available which can make the cooking a bit of a experience. I say big thank you and would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this place.

Please do not stay at this hotel. It is very very dirty. Upon arrival, we went to lay down to find black markings on our pillow. Furthermore there were hairs all over the bed that was supposed to be freshly cleaned sheets. After staying a few days we had bites all over our bodies + ants in the rooms and requested to have the room cleaned. Reception said as our stay was less than 7 days they won’t clean our room. The power also went out while we were cooking and staff are hardly present even during staffed hours not to mention the attitude from the receptionists. The provider two tiny thin pieces of soap for a 6 day stay with two people. No hair wash and limited toilet paper. Your amenities are not topped up and you are expected to take out the garbage yourself or a $55 cleaning fee applies. There are also washing machines and dryers provided but they do not work/out of order and no laundry tablets are provided. The couch had stains all over it and the furniture was dusty. The smoke alarm went off numerous times while in bed and was advised that the manager would be coming but nobody showed up for the night. This place was extremely disappointing and for the amount you pay you it is not worth it at all. I’d recommend not staying at this place.

Amazing place to stay but don't leave your belongings behind on check out cause they will steal your money!!!

We returned 1 hour after check out to find out the cleaners had cleaned the room and stolen our money... we know the money was there as that's what we assigned for fuel to travel home. It was in there when I put the dishes away at 930 so how is is when I call up at 10am they've cleaned the units and my money has grown legs and walked...

Than the receptionist had the audacity to claim that we have misplaced it or spent it.

It’s a good place, affordable holiday apartments, very close to beach, we walked everyday to the local markets, restaurants and beach.
We had extra guest with us, they provided us extra bed. The room came with the kitchen and we used it pretty much everyday. The accomodation is very close to all the places and comes with secure parking.

My stay at Cascade Gardens was a little disappointing. The location looks good on paper, since it is just 15-20 minutes by walking from the Esplanade and the Marina, but if you go in the opposite direction, just walking around the area does not feel safe at all, especially at night. Communication with the property is a little slow, sometimes taking around a day to get an answer and I didn't even get a response to my question on how to check out at early hours. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable, but the cleanliness is a clear issue in the property. For example, the carpet on the floor had hundreds of hairs from other people, at least that I could extract...

Have stayed here before, and its always great. Large rooms with kitchen. Walking distance to esplanade, easy check in and pool and BBQ area were great. Plus the cat is a cutie
