Floor wasn't cleaned properly. Hairdown the drain had to be cleaned. Rubbish in the sides of the couches in the lounge room. Balcony filthy hadn't been cleaned for a while. Customer service from the manager was very poor considering most people these days use third parties to book accomadation these days had an issue with it. Was not told how to check in or check out. Told my partner to pack her shit and leave exact words when she raised an issue with him about invading privacy. Would not reccomen anyone to stay here and spend over $1000 for 6 days or more. Best off spending it at another hotel who will give you the good customer service and clean rooms with no hair down the drain. And who will welcome you from the time of arrival to check out. The whole 6 days we were there the front office/reception was closed every single day. Would not reccommend anyone to stay here

I stayed here for two weeks, whilst working nearby. |Apartment was very clean and well equipped. They painted the entire building during my stay.|Foxtel and wifi are available.|Clean swimming pool which unfortunately I didn’t get to use. Next time!|Washing machine and clothes dryer |Fans and aircon |One of the beds had an underlay on it, which was super comfy. It reminded me of a 5 star hotel I once stayed in, where I wanted to stay in bed for the rest of my life😜|Location wise it is about two streets back from the Esplanade and at the quiet northern end of town. |I could walk a round trip into the centre of town quite easily, despite being more senior!|I walked to work each night after 9 pm and I felt safe.|I did nightshift and slept during the day , without a problem.|Inside the apartment, I couldn’t hear the other apartments. |The lady running the place was very friendly, helpful and available.|She went the extra mile. |I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone. |If you are elderly and want to avoid the stairs, there are plenty of good ground floor apartments.|Unit one on the ground floor had the great bed!|

DONT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS!!

- Ridiculously overpriced, photos don't match the place. Very deceiving.
- We paid over 3500 for 7 days stay for 2 apartments. We thought because it was so expensive it would be decent.
- First time in Cairns so we didnt know but the location is bad.
Don't stay in Cairns North it is a dodgy area you can't even walk at night. Stay in Cairns Central.
- Mould on the ceiling and in the bathroom
- Peeling walls and roof
- Dirt and marks EVERYWHERE
- Dryer didn't even work

We booked through Wotif a replacement holiday for a cruise we were unable to take. I was charged a deposit to another hotel with no receipt or email explaining. I later found out the manager ran both after questioning it. We chose this 4 star accommodation (cough cough) and were made to feel bad on the 3 occasions I spoke with management. The first: I called to confirm the accomodation. The manager answered with "hello". I wasn't even sure I had rang the right number. He told me he couldn't help me as he wasn't in the office but offered no call back so I asked if there was a better time I could call him back. I did not call, as I was also given the run down in booking through a third party and I didn't feel like speaking to him again.
The second time,: I called the day before arrival as per policy to find out check in arrangements. Again given the run down on booking through a third party then asked why I called. I told him why and he asked what time our plane arrived. I told him we arrived early at 9am and if early check in was available we would appreciate it. We were told our room would not be ready until 2:30pm (even though their website states check in is from 1:30pm).
Upon arrival at 2:30 we were again given a lesson as to why we should not book through a third party. We were given the keys to our room and off we went.
It was very spacious for the 4 of us but I can't help but think we were given the worst room because we booked through that 3rd party. The master bed mattress had a third of it caved in. No springs. The bathroom was completely mouldy however tried to paint over. There was no ventilation in the bathroom apart from the window over the shower/bath that allowed the neighbours to watch you shower. The balcony was FILTHY. There were yellow mildew stains all over the stucco ceilings. The lounge room window did not slide. The tiles in the kitchen were bubbling and lifting. The floors of the main thoroughfares were reasonably clean but the corners of the rooms and under furniture were not nice. I would not recommend staying here to anyone. Very disappointing with a 4 star rating. False advertising.

Nice sized apartments with two bedrooms, separate bathroom toilet separate, nice touch of an extra basin etc outside bathroom. Good laundry facilities, kitchen ok no oven but has microwave and hotplate, full sized frig. Pool good with great barbecue close handy.

This was our second stay at City Plaza which speaks for itself. We came back as we had a great experience the first time. The apartment is spacious comfortable and clean with all the amenities and equipment you’d find in a home. The split bathroom with 2 basins is convenient and there was plenty of wardrobe space. There are fans and aircon which was fantastic as I cannot sleep in aircon. There is parking space within the grounds and the management is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend these apartments for your next stay in Cairns.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and found it excellent value for money. Having 3 kids and finding even a hotel room without a huge price tag is hard. Older style but clean and had what we needed. Off street parking with height to allow our 4wd with roof rack (another problem we face with city apartments. We walked to dinner at bali restaurant Bay Leaf.

I did a site inspection and booked a 10 night stay planned for my family visiting in April as the apartments were beautifully appointed and spacious for 3 adults and just a hop from my home (unit so no room for extended visitors with us). Sadly Covid-19 hampered out plans but Myra was more than generous in accommodating our request to cancel. ||Look forward to being able to rebook when travel is allowed again as i don't think you can beat the value for money and cbd fringe convience City Plaza Apartments offers .
