Quality of food disappointing, especially what your charged for. Not good value for money🤬Been over a year since last here. Meat was dry & burnt, coleslaw mostly of cabbage stalk in it.
Mac & cheese looked & tasted like it came out of a box. Before they served fresh corn bread, now dry buns which are toasted, tasted like old bread, top it off, the chips were cold & burnt!! Not crunchy! Like its been refried again!
So many, other reviews mention one or two of the above, however the business don't seem to better their standards of the quality of food served. Totes rip off!!!

The atmosphere was lively and bustling with people but still enough room to house everyone in .

Food had good flavour and temperature but there were very dry bits of meet, of course we couldn’t eat those. I am not dying to go back but it was ok, not many restaurants around and probably one of the decent ones. We prefer the ribs than the plate that came with beef and pork.
Also the food took ages! Close to 45min….expect a long queue and a long wait

Having just moved up here stopped at the Sugar Creek Smokehouse on way home from work Sunday, spoke to a lovely young girl, who was really helpful explained the menu & I asked her to recommend, I had the Brisket Fries & slaw takeaway. On opening when I got home was a bit disappointed as the meat looked dry, but once I went to pick up it was so tender, flavoursome & juicy it just fell apart in my mouth, chips were deliciously crunchy. The seasoning had a bit of heat to my taste but everything was delicious so it didn't stop me just used the slaw to cool things down. Will definitely be back to try some other offerings. Located at such a great venue The FED.

What a lovely spot to have some amazing smoked meat. We absolutely enjoyed our first visit here. It certainly won’t be the last. There is a wait time when they are busy but totally worth it. The chips were perfectly crispy too and that sprinkle of seasoning was an added bonus. Look forward to coming back.

A fantastic family venue situated to the northern end of the Gold Coast or the Southern side of Brisbane. They cater to everyone with various food options, including alcohol. They have the distillery open during the day and many events also. I'd personally would look on their website to keep up to date with all functions, especially as we're coming into the warmer month's. This is going to be the next big hit in relation to the venue's, family friendly, food options, band's, and new alcoholic options at the distillery. My family and I mine will be back! Next time, we're going to test out the day food, service, and atmosphere.

Came second time with high hopes. Poutine burger was flavourful and the brisket tasted good. Just $19 for a burger is too much.
Missus took the pulled pork slaw and the pork was completely dry and they were out of slaw.
They have the right concept but execution lacks

This is our first time here, a walk by really on the way to a gig. We had the pork ribs, and the combo box of pulled pork and brisket. We also got some burnt ends.

The food was excellent. The meat fell of the ribs, and had good balance between smoke and sauce. The brisket and pulled pork was spot on too.

The staff were nice, and helpful. The prices are quite good considering all the work that goes into good smoked meat.

The venue is lay back and largely open while still being under cover. It has seating for about 30-40, some of that shared with the Mexican place next door. Next door also had Friday night live blues playing, so that was a bonus.

This place is easy to recommend. We'd be happy to go back another time.

And come back we did, to their new premises around the corner. The venue is great, with live music three days a week.

The pulled pork and brisket are excellent. The burnt ends this time were under-done (still lots of unrendered pork belly) unfortunately, but the taste was still good. The pork ribs were superb.

The sauce flavours were very good and we bought two sauces for cooking at home, as a replacement for Sweet Baby Ray's Kickin' Bourbon, which you can't get here anymore.

Easily one of the best tasting smokehouse places in Queensland - and we've tried almost all of them. Enjoy!
