We stayed for 2 weeks while our house was undergoing repairs. Well appointed. Only criticism was that we were not offered a linen change at all during the stay. Yes we had a washing machine but I have a bad back and it would have been nice if someone could have changed the bedding. No mop and bucket to be able to do the floors. Kitchen had everything you could need. Air fryer, electric frypan, sandwich press, heaps of other pots and pans. Even roasting and baking dishes. 900mm oven. The gardens were immaculate and pool looked great. Just didn't get around to using it. Parking underneath is very tight which was difficult. I couldn't get in the car until it was backed out and had to get out before it was parked. We had w bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with a WIR that is as big as our spare room. Recliners that were comfy for relaxing. Overall pretty good. Just across from the beach.

This was our second stay, last time we had the penthouse. The owners recently passed away and the family has moved this into corporate property management. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either. It’s getting old and it really does feel like it doesn’t have that personal touch anymore. It could do with modernising, and some fresh paint, but it’s still passable. One thing to note is the rather odd layout of the rooms, you figure it out quickly but it feels rather industrial in the corridors.

Right across the road from the beach, great destination, apartment was clean and tidy and plenty of room for the 4 of us.

We stayed at Charlton in The Esplanade for 5 nights and from the start had a good experience.
We had a 2 bedroom unit. Plenty of room for two adults and two kids.
Great views to the water, good kitchen and living areas, 2 good bathrooms and bedrooms were a good size.
This was our third time in Hervey Bay (first time staying at this accommodation) and would happily stay at Charlton on The Esplanade again. Managers are lovely and felt welcomed as soon as we arrived.
Excellent location - Would highly recommend.

We stayed at Charlton apartments over Xmas the managers Carolyn and Adrian are absolutely AMAZING, friendly and very helpful.. we had a great stay and would recommend this to anyone!!! We are a young family of 4 and the location was amazing also walking distance to everything u need.

We had 2 nights at this resort, I'm really disappointed that we didn't stay longer. Location wise we couldn't have been better situated for our needs while in Hervey Bay with superb ocean views. The suite was spacious modern and immaculately clean, something I have found to be lacking in resorts charging twice the price recently. Overall I will certainly recommend The Charlton to anyone wanting value for money, friendly service and cleanliness. I will definately return before the year is out but for an extended stay to relax in comfort knowing all my needs will be met in abundance.

We are happy with our choice. View is fantastic from Unit 15. They are an older style apartment, furniture a little older than some other places but priced accordingly. The unit we are in is clean and comfortable with air conditioning in lounge room and fans in bedrooms and lounge. Lounge and bed are comfortable and there is enough pots and pans to make a meal. The apartments have plenty of space so you are not cramped. The Manager was helpful in assisting my request for a walk in shower as I have bad knees and shower over bath is very hard to use. Don't look past this place if you are after a more cost effective stay.

Stayed for 3 nights for my Mums birthday. |We stayed in unit 17 (2bed 2 bath) and I must say it is one of the worst renovations I have seen. At first glance the unit appears modern and the kitchen has been done quite well but very poor otherwise.|They have laid white washed "floorboards" which are uneven and rising in spots. Bedside table shoved under the original built in one (see pic).|The couch is missing a piece of black leather and a piece of red leather is disguising the fact that there is couch stuffing revealed.|The beds are of poor quality or need replacing and we both felt we were rolling into the middle constantly. My husband with a bad back ended up sleeping on the floor.|The verandah on this unit only has a 2 seater table so no option for family meals outside. This unit is also on the side of the building so not a great outlook.|Bathrooms are mouldy. |Unit had more pubic hair then I do.||On a more positive note, my mum had unit 4 and it was quite nice and much cleaner. |Both were spacious and had good air con. Found the manager on-site to be pleasant and we enjoyed the location and the pool.|All in all, this apartment was not for me but my mum enjoyed her stay. At $200 a night at peak time, probably a case of you get what you pay for
