From the start, our experience was awful. When we called to change our dates due to car trouble, the staff was rude and impatient. Later, in person, they avoided eye contact and spoke to us with a rude tone.

During the floods, when we needed help, we woke up super early soaked in water because it had come into our room. No staff was there to check on anyone, and instead of offering assistance, they told us we had to leave because they weren’t letting anyone stay the night. We had nowhere to go and couldn’t leave safely because we were surrounded by high waters. The only saving grace was one staff member who helped us with our car, but overall, the treatment we received was terrible—no support, no empathy, just indifference.

It’s a shame because the place itself is beautiful, surrounded by nature with a stunning lake full of turtles. Unfortunately, the poor treatment completely ruined what could have been a great experience. Wouldn’t recommend, especially in an emergency.

Excellent place, so quiet and peaceful. The beautiful peacocks visited us numerous times day and night were the highlight of our stay. Simply stunning birds. Very spacious Unit and a very comfy sofa. They had a huge communal kitchen and lounge which happened to be right next door, very convenient. Private bathroom was huge. However the bed was a great size but not so comfortable. There were huge shelves but no wardrobe just hooks on the wall to hang a few clothes. Older type buildings and deco but overall it was a pleasant experience and would love to stay again in the future.

We stayed there for 3 days first thing what you can’t see in the pictures is the actual room size.
They are extremely small old and pretty uncomfortable.
couple of hours in I noticed there’s on way in he’ll I could sleep on the bed for 3 nights cause it was so soft and would sink in so much you’d go to semi circle position as soon as you lay down on it so I went to the office and asked them if I could have an extra mattress or even a blanket so I could sleep on the floor she said ok but that’s as far as it went
The pool table coin tray is broken but the guy working there was pretty helpful and got it to work.
The fridges are pretty old and small to support all the guests but the kitchen n bathrooms are clean
The property itself has some good greens with couple of peacocks moving around and is pretty nice actually but don’t expect anything more

I arrived at 4pm to find the room in a shocking state. The double bed was terribly soft and paired with a cheap, almost unusable pillow. There was no air conditioning, just a noisy ceiling fan that sounded like a helicopter, and only one chair. The room lacked a TV, fridge, and even basic amenities like tea or coffee. I requested a different room or an upgrade, but none were available. Without a car, I couldn’t look for alternative accommodation. It was one of the most difficult experiences I’ve had.

We stayed 2 nights in our roof tent, without electricity ($30/per night for two).

The toilets and showers are clean.

The campsite is pleasant, you come across many species of birds and animals there.🦜

It’s frustrating to review this place because there really is so much potential. First impressions were good, however we were not granted an early check in (we were in n a powered site with no one there before us?) - the lady was incredibly rude which was unfortunate. Driving into the grounds appeared positive, lots of nice plants and animals. Huge lack of staff. We could not find a person ANYWHERE at any time Reception appeared to always be closed? No bar, bistro, restaurant even though the facilities were there being wasted. We were advised they were completely sold out/full when we wanted to book a cabin for family members when we noticed a lack of patrons.. but were told there was ā€˜basically nothing left’? - however we saw about 5 families the entire time we were there (9 days).

There is no grey water or dumping facilities on site. This was a huge inconvenience considering we were there for quite a while.

We had the huge storm over Christmas when it hailed, all the entire campsites flooded. There was inadequate drainage so mass amounts of mud. The sites need to be raised with some kind of base.

The facilities had rotten wooden picnic tables with bird poo everywhere, overgrown trees which brought in all kinds of bugs/mosquitos.. it is incredibly run down. Such a shame.

Pool was nice but small. If there had some kind of bar there + music it would have made such a difference.

Location was good. Definitely less chaotic than all the over booked out caravan parks we saw on the esplanade- so privacy was better and the noise was low - except the peacocks. But they were lovely so I quite liked having them around.

It’s very obvious the current owners do the bare minimum and have no business running this ā€˜resort’. In the right hands with a bit of elbow grease.. this place could be really lovely. We left early.
