Hotel is generally unfinished.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment over the Australia Day Weekend. The hotel itself is quite beautiful, well laid out and closely located to shops, beach, restaurant, however there were a number of issues that shows they still need 6-12 months to work out the kinks

* Dishes not washed and sticky, and food from previous occupants still in fridge/freezer
* Chopping board provided but no cutting knife
* No rubbish bags provided for their bins, so nowhere to put excess rubbish
* Someone parked in my spot during my visit and there was no way to contact reception to rectify the issue
* Ground floor balcony provided with exit to main street, but no keys available so couldn't leave through the back door
* Reception were pleasant and kind, however only worked business hours, and there were no after hours assistance
* Light bulbs not in lamps

We came to this hotel (21-22.02) with high expectations, because the pictures look really nice.
However we found a cockroach sitting right at the bed. Which is pretty disgusting. However, the bad customer service of this hotel is what upsets me the most.
Upon consulting the receptionist, which then consulted the manger said there is nothing they can do for us (change of rooms/partial refund).
Moreover the bbq doesn’t work as advertised.
Would not come back, I have stayed in hostels with a higher hygiene standard.

we got an appartment towards the inside of the buildings and had no sun, only a view towards a machine building with strong lights at night. The architect who plnned this building should be forced to spend his expensive vaccation there. Though on the pictures of expedia we should have had a view across the surroundings we had none. It felt like a dungeon! Dont book this via expedia, better directly if at all. That was my worst new years stay ever.

Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay, very nice apartment we stayed in, very affordable, Maddie from reception was amazing she helped with making our stay comfortable would highly recommend lowanna beach resort 10/10 🙂
