Our room was a king ocean view with a huge balcony and stunning views. It was clean, modern, and the linens and bedding very comfortable. We loved all the free activities- trivia night was fun and the kayaking and snorkeling were enjoyable and free in the cost of the stay. We did the rainforest walk 2 or 3 times just for the views. The living reef with a marine biologist who explained the coral restoration and how all rays and fish were cared for was a highlight and Salti and Infinity were both beyond expectation, with excellent quality ingredients and easilly comparable to some of Melbourne's best restaurants- a surprise given the remote location. As far as cost, we found it very reasonable given it's a resort and an island. The only let down was breakfast, which was very loud in a very crowded buffet area with the food a bit repetitive (traditional English breakfast offerings). While kids and families might enjoy dining next to the large fish tanks I would have liked an option for a quieter adult space...and an option to purchase mimosas! Staff were exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was polite, helpful, and genuine. I'd read reviews on here before going but our experience was near faultless with the added charm of walleroos, cockatoos, curlews, and monitors. My tip is to stick to the on island activities though, as we found all resort staff great but our off-island tours with ocean dynamics not really to our expectations. Thank you Daydream for an amazing experience!

We visited Daydream Island in late February overall, it was a lovely and relaxing experience. The island wasn’t busy at all. The facilities were nice, and it’s a great destination if you’re looking for a quiet getaway where you don’t need to do much.

However, one downside was the limited dining options. There are only two restaurants, both closing at 8:30 PM, so if you want food after that, there are no options at all. The menus also had some changes each night, with certain dishes unavailable, so it’s best to check with your waiter before ordering.

Aside from that, it was a beautiful, peaceful place to unwind. If you’re after a holiday where you can truly switch off and relax, Daydream Island is a great choice.

The rooms are a little tired and need a good deep clean. The staff service rooms daily but this is quick basic towels, mop and make beds. The patios are mouldy, window tracks are dirty, everywhere out of obvious sight is dusty like under the edge of the beds.
Aside from this the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Our birthdays were acknowledged with wine and a lovely card and staff members wishing us a happy birthday personally.
The living reef is amazing and the included breakfast was always excellent. It is lovely to sit and watch the fish in the glass walled reef whilst eating breakfast.
We attended the stingray and shark feeding at 10.00am everyday and enjoyed listening to marine biologists talk about the animals and the coral reef.
It rained heavily everyday of our 6 days here which made it difficult to explore as much as we would have liked. We did manage the rainforest walk through the centre of the island and we walked along the sea path to another pool and beach area. The 2 restaurants for evening meals were very good quality but expensive as to be expected on a remote island. The views were amazing. The pools are beautiful. I would like to return outside of the wet season.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ||Perfection! We spent two nights here and another at Hamilton, and we absolutely loved our relaxing, calming days at Daydream Island. The views are simply breathtaking—you could spend hours just taking them in! While there were plenty of activities to enjoy, the real highlights of our stay were the incredible breakfast, fantastic restaurants, and the unique aquarium experience. The rooms were comfortable, but the overall atmosphere and amenities made our trip unforgettable. We will definitely be back!

The moment you step into the reception area you feel overwhelming heat slap as there are no air conditions only high ceiling fans. There is only one place in the entire resort you can relax in an air conditioned atmosphere but it comes with very expensive food and drink menu it’s called Infinity restaurant. The average price of cocktails is $24 and you can hardly taste any alcohol. The average price of mains is $45 and the taste is below average. They charge five stars prices but don’t offer matching service or quality. However our waitress Lea in Salti was very helpful and friendly big shout out to her. Our first room had a moldy smell and the aircon was leaking and splashing on my ankles as I was complaining to the reception. Thanks to Casey he quickly transferred us to another room. However the bed was so uncomfortable and springy not to mention the rough bed sheets. I complained the third day about my sore Lost the back and the manager on duty Jonathon was very professional and immediately upgraded us to an oceanview king bed room however the bedsheets are still horrible. The beach has corals wherever you go and very painful as we got cuts. We went to buy reef shoes and The gift shop does not sell them because we have to leave the island and go to early Beach which is the main game buy them there and come back to the island no thanks. My disappointment in this resort is extreme and it’s a long list, but I think I’ll leave it at that.

I had an amazing stay at Daydream Island Resort! The resort itself was beautifully maintained, making it a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The highlight of our stay, however, was definitely the staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, but a special shout-out goes to Mathieu, Jose and Thomas at the Tonic Bar. Despite the rainy weather, they kept the mood lively with their great personality and sense of humour. They made sure we were well taken care of and entertained. It’s the perfect blend of beautiful surroundings and outstanding service.

We had a lovely experience staying at the resort for 5 days during the QLD term 3 school holiday 2024z. It felt safe and calm! The hospitality was great! We had a buffet breakfast daily. We packed lots of snacks, fruits, and drinks for lunch, so we only spent money on dinner, though we were offered a $300 voucher for drinks and food! Then, not to mention all the free water activities. It was a shame we didn’t have enough time to do the catamarans. Snorkelling at Lovers Cover was better than the reef. We think! There is plenty to do and see on the island. A hair braid service lady comes every Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 to 12:30 pm. Kids club available. Kids reef rangers, yoga class, etc., can’t wait to return and highly recommend it to all friends and family.
