Met the nicest guy playing flute at the park today. I was checking it out for some photos to get the lighting and angles right for a sunset photo shoot.

You could hear his flute clear across the whole surrounding lake land. He says he is there most days between 11-1ish (sorry, my memory for the detail is a little spoty). But if you're at any of the park land in the area, you'll hear him. It was beautiful.

The surrounding lake and park land is such a beautiful place for photography.

The lake and surroundings is a nice place for every occasion. Just a stroll, walk, jog, run, relaxing, group activities, beautiful view.
Just one thing I always complain of is the algae and weeds growing in the lake. It really needs a nice cleaning and should be regularly done. Otherwise it is such a waste of a busy and well enjoyed community resource.

When the lake is not full of algae, the Forest Lake Stage provides the perfect place to host an outdoor function. Note though, bookings are required through the BCC website.
During the evening, the stage can receive cool south-westerly breezes coming from over the lake.
There is limited parking up the small hill, which is accessible via Forest Lake Boulevard. But more parking is found on the other side of the road.
