Open 9 months of the year - check their page before travelling. Just got their fuel license, so there is fuel. Free camp if you buy a beer, beers only $5, enjoy it by the open fire pit in winter. It's a gem to visit, but it is the only thing in Betoota, what's on the menu for the day is all there is. We had a fantastic dinner and breakfast cooked by owner Robbo, owner Trish is at the bar and a great storyteller. They've worked super hard to make this a great place. Be sure to stop and camp on your way to Birdsville and spend some $$ so they can keep this iconic place running. Toilets fantastic, showers cheap - be quick, as there's no water and be sure to pay!

Great little outback pub run by some very nice people. The hot delicious pie for lunch was perfect. Beers prices here are probably the cheapest in Queensland, easily worth the 5 minute detour off the highway.

an absolute must visit. an iconic Australian pub, cold beer, home cooked food, free camping or very basic rooms. Diesel fuel and unleaded available. make sure you bring a thick skin, a hat, and a good mood, this place is pure aussie outback! robbo and Trish are absolute gems, the locals and travelers passing through are the best. theres no aircon, showers are 10 bucks for three minutes, there's nothing luxury about it one bit and thats what makes it so amazing. have a beer, have a yarn and have a feed and great time!

Was greeted by the owner at the front door, didn't have the decency to even look up from her phone as she snarled at us telling us to turn around and go home as we wouldnt make it anywhere. Against her wishes we pushed on to Birdsville and the desert with no issues even after speaking to the local authorities. 2nd time to Betoota and both times have been an amazing disappointment. Will be giving it a strong bypass from now on. Both owners make it feel like your an inconvenience being there

Pub only recently opened again.
Lunch menu was a pie or sausage roll. Ran out of sausage rolls, so I had a pie. Without being too critical, it was the 2nd worst pie I have ever eaten.
I did not go back for dinner, but I believe that it is what they want to cook on the night.
Worth a visit even if just for the memories.
