I was very pleasantly surprised by the breakfast we had here. I had previously come for ice cream, and didn’t really consider UB’s Milk Bar a breakfast option, but the avo on toast was exceptional. The service was also very friendly and the chef thoughtfully offered to split a meal across two plates for us. Good amount of food for the price. Underrated I think.

Retro style Cafe with large selection of foods and snacks and icecreams to. We enjoyed a cold drink and the plum icecream which was delightful 😊. Will come back again to see the vibe in an evening. We stopped by in the afternoon and enjoyed the experience and service.

Retro vibes and an old school menu come together in a way that tickles the modern taste. Burgers and chips? Of course, that and much more, all with gourmet flair.
UB's started with master class ice cream, so be sure to finish your meal with some.

A very awkward and overpriced dining experience.

Food was ok, but certainly does not justify the prices.

Kids meal fries order, along with the rest of our orders came out; and, other patrons received their meals, before we had to ask if they had forgotten our other fries. The deep fryer was blamed, which was fine, but staff did not communicate this at all.

Would like to support local, but all-in-all, probably won't return, based on price, service and food quality. You can get better food from any fast food chain, spend far less and have a better customer service experience.

If you're looking for a fun place to grab dinner, lunch or breakfast - then give UB's a try. We went for dinner during the SPARK Festival and although it was busy, the staff were lovely and our wait time for the food was not too long. We ordered the classic burger, chicken burger and a kids cheeseburger. The chicken was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside while juicy on the inside. It came with creamy coleslaw giving the burger a great balance of flavours. The classic burger came with a beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, pickles and a homemade special sauce and was tasty, juicy and tender. The kids burger had the same patty as the classic, but without the salad and again was very tasty. We enjoyed the retro interior, booth seating and electro swing music playing. Overall it was a great experience. Next time we'll start with dessert as we really wanted to try the waffles, chocolate poffertjes and banana split, however we couldn't eat another bite!

This place is a secret gem tucked away in the literal heart of Ipswich CBD. The food is amazing, flavourful, well presented and portioned nicely for the reasonable prices. The service is fantastic, the atmosphere is of an old school milk bar with a rustic twist sprinkled in.

The small dutch pancakes, or Poffertjes, with Bananas and Caramel was thoroughly enjoyable with every bite to the finish. For the burger menu, a deconstructed Double Deluxe with Bacon had a wealth of simple but flavourful sauces that added to the tastes, textures of the meats and fillings.

There is definitely something on this menu for everyone, and to share in an experience you'll be happy with.
