First impressions count and the friendly welcome afforded by the receptionist and co-operator (as it turned out) left a good impression. Despite being on the main southern through fare into and out of the city, for the seven nights we were there noise was never a problem. The room was comfortable. Enjoyed a Continental breakfast the first morning and it was fine. The cereal serving was beyond generous. There was nothing bad about this motel; but it could be better. An investment in new pillows in the room we occupied would be welcomed by guests. The toaster needed de-crumbing before our first use. There was two dinner plates, three cups, three or four glasses, two knives and forks; but no cereal or "pudding" plates, and no spoons (apart from one tea spoon). In the seven nights we were there, the carpeted floor was not vacuumed; nor was the tiled bathroom/shower floors mopped. This was disappointing as the experience here was definitely not "bad". It just could have been better. More attention to detail would make this a very good place to stay.

Friendly helpful checkin. We stayed two nights. The Saturday night was noisy, with all rooms full, and parking difficult. Sunday night was fine. Parking bays are narrow, and with many 4WDs parked, it was very difficult to get in and out of your car door. Room was very clean and comfortable, could sleep 3. Great location, takeaways etc nearby.

Staff are extra friendly and keen to help with anything. Thr room was spacious, and included a sofa to sit on which is usually lacking in most motels. The bathroom had been fully renovated. Best feature was the mattress which was firm and of excellent quality.

The team here was all lovely! I was checked in by Matt, who I was helped by a few times over the week I stayed, and he was very helpful and friendly. Joanne helped with a smile and was very kind.

The bathroom is very nice, but it's the shower! Oh, the water pressure and temperature after a long, long day at work was heaven. The beds were comfy.

I'm assuming a few Fifo workers or tradesmen stay here because they're all driving big loud utes that they start loudly outside my window every single day at 4am. The car spaces are tight.

Stayed at the Best Western Motor Inn for work for two days. Very well priced and rooms were clean and tidy. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. It’s really well located with plenty of food options and a grocer within walking distance. The only downside was that it was a little loud with the trucks at night but otherwise a great motor inn.

Visitor to Rockhampton for work. Staying for two nights - room was lovely -well equipped , clean and roomy. |Staff at check in as well as kitchen/ restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful. They were outstanding and couldn't do enough to help. They are such an asset!

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at the motor inn. The room was neat, clean and spacious. The service was perhaps the best I’ve ever received, it really brightened my day chatting with the manager. The attached restaurant was fantastic with great food, affordable prices and very solid portions. If I’m ever going through the area again this will be my first choice!

I am still very upset. In Room #11 the WIFI connection is very bad. I had to go to the swimming pool area or the upstairs open seating area to get enough internet connection. I was needing to go on to 2 consecutive Zoom Meetings, but missed one important one of them, due to poor WIFI connection in Room #11.
When i said i would pay to have another room, the staff advised me there were none available. They also charged me for 2 nights accommodation, when i had only been there for about 2 to 3 hours and certainly didn't stay overnight.
I was so upset, and left with my wife, and we booked in to The Empire in Rockhampton, where we were treated very kindly and had the proper WIFI internet connection we needed. We have stayed at Cattle City Motel before, in the upstairs rooms, where we had no problems. But, by the money-hungry treatment we received this time, WE WON'T BE BACK. My friends can't believe that we were charged for 2 nights, when we didn't even stay those nights. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING !!!
You could at least refund my 2 nights' accommodation and keep what is necessary for the cleaner to reinstate the room.
If i ran my three businesses the way i was treated, by your keeping my payment in good faith, for 2 nights, when i didn't stay that period of time ...i would have such a rightful backlash from my clients, i would be out of business.
