I feel terrible saying this but the pies we had don’t even deserve 1 star, whilst on our way to cairns we seen the sign on the highway for this bakery and thought we must try, we ordered 2 pies 1 sausage roll we nearly fell over when we were told $27 bucks but I thought well for this price it must be good, in all honesty it was the worst pie I have ever had in my travels around this country the pie was just warm , the pastry was hard and the filling was sloppy pale and flavourless still after an hour after eating this we are still in disbelief how bad it was. Friendly staff and nice venue.

It was the Artizan sign on the Bruce Hwy that brought me to town! I just enjoyed a delicious Black Pepper Pie. Light flakey pastry, good chucky beef pieces and a good amount of black pepper. This pie didn't need sauce! Thank you Artizan for this great gluten free bakery!

I recently stumbled upon Artizan Gluten Free Bakery while heading through Rocky on our way to Yeppoon, and let me tell you, it was like finding the holy grail of gluten-free goodness!

First off, the Pepper Beef Pie and the Sausage Roll? Pure magic. And that GF & DF Iced Vovo biscuit? I thought I was dreaming—way better than the sad, store-bought ones that pretend to be biscuits! Plus, I finally got to have a sandwich again thanks to their GF & DF Seeded Bread Loaf. It was like a reunion with an old friend!

The team there has clearly put their hearts into creating some of the best-tasting gluten-free (and mostly dairy-free) products out there. Shout-out to Cass, who was the absolute MVP! She was so friendly and patient while I went full kid-in-a-candy-store mode, asking about everything under the sun. Seriously, her smile never faltered!

Now, for my Gluten-Loving friends out there: you might notice a bit of a difference in taste and texture compared to your regular choc-full-of-gluten goodies. But honestly? The pies and sausage rolls at Artizan totally blew my mind—they’re WAY BETTER than the gluten-filled versions! I kept thinking, “Wait, am I really eating gluten-free right now?!”

So, whether you’re gluten-free by necessity or just a smart cookie who wants to try something new, you’ve got to hit up Artizan Gluten Free Bakery. Their stuff is superb and totally a gift from the gluten-free gods. I’ll be back for more—who knows, I might just start living there! Thanks, Artizan team!

My son purchased a few donuts for me during a recent trip to Rockhampton. So I can only review the food. Gotta say I love ❤️ the donuts. Tasted like vanilla cupcakes! Light and fluffy! Added some vanilla coconut yogurt and BAM perfection! If they were high in protein I would have these as my sweet treat everyday!

For a coeliac, this is heaven! Goods taste amazing! Great array of items both savoury and sweet. Sit and chill or buy and run. I ordered a couple of days ahead and they were happy to accommodate. Friendly staff. The jam and cream was my contribution! Please open a store in Mackay!

What a special place! Yummy food gorgeous service. People who are not gluten free often don’t understand how you miss certain foods particularly from childhood like iced Vovos or apple turn over or pies. Well you can get it all here! I particularly love the Ned Kelly cheese and bacon pie! My husband who is not gluten free had a chocolate cake and said it was the best he ever had which is saying something as he usually doesn’t like anything gluten free. Thank you so much for bringing so much joy to so many people!

I consider myself a good gluten free cook, but after trying one of Artisan's gf double chocolate muffins, I'm thinking of giving up and taking up stamp collecting! Plus lovely owner, very good coffee and relaxed atmosphere... close to perfect.
A couple of years later, and we're back. Only for the fact that we're travelling in a small van, I'd happily order one of everything on the menu, and hit the road running with it. Might even consider jettisoning some camping non-essentials, like bedding and engine, just so we can fit more of Artisan's exquisite gf goodies in.
