Maura is situated on the edge of the Arlie Beach town at no more then 8 minutes walking distance from the centre. We stayed here before and after our sailing trip through the Whutsundays. The owner is doing her utmost to make your stay comfortable. ||Decent size rooms, all with veranda's with an amazing view. We were welcomed with a cheese platter and a bottle of wine;||||If I really have to say something negative it is the breakfast. It is simple: some bread, milk, jam, orange juice and coffee,...but hey,..the supermarket is rally close so we got out own avocado's, tomato's croissants etc etc.

Lesley my host could not have been more helpful and was a good source of local advice. The B & B was about 10 minutes walk from town, while I had a car, with all the road works in the main street of Airlie Beach, I took the option of the nice 10 minute walk down to town and returning up hill by the ample supply of cabs for about $6. This B & B would be suitable even if you did not have a car.||||The view form my room and the desk were simply amazing, more trees and nature rather than water but amazing. I have attached a photo to this review.||||I stayed in the Nautical Room, the room itself was a little on the small side and dominated by the bed, but you have access to a generous deck with chairs and table and the swimming pool. Its ocean theme may be described as a little kitschy. The air conditioning and ceiling fan work well and the room is reasonably comfortable and is quiet. The room is spotlessly cleaned to the highest standards. I will add room photos later, when I can access the memory card from my SLR.||||Upon arrival you are greeted with a prepared cheese plater in the room refrigerator and wine. The cheese was great but due to dietary restrictions I can't comment on the rest of the plater.||||A breakfast of English muffins, juice and various spreads is also supplied. Once again I can't comment on this.||||On the negative side I experienced two minor annoyances, the first is the shower has been repaired with duct tape and the milk supplied was very close to its expiration date and expired on the day I left.

The B&B is nicely situated. A view across the bay. From downtown it is only a short but steep walk. The owners are lovely and very accommodating. We stayed in the blue room and blue it was. Dolphins everywhere. We counted 19 in total :-)||The wine and cheese platter are the best. Breakfast is just fine: you find it in your fridge and make it yourself. ||The only thing that was nog so nice was the cleanliness.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Good location and good view. Swimming pool fantastic when you need a nice cool dip. The wine and chees on arrival was also lovely and very thoughtful. Leslie couldn't do enough for us, when fridge broke she bought new one, only thing I didn't like was a couple of cockroaches which visited us. It apart from that all was good.

The room was great - we felt very at home in the double room. We received a lovely bottle of wine and cheese platter on arrival, which was a lovely touch. We were so thrilled we stayed there. ||||Nice and close to the shops and a great view of the water. We would definitely come back!!||||Thanks again!

Why looking for a big hotel when you can find a nice little B&B close to the city center? Myaura has great views, a nice pool with jacuzzi and you will be welcomed by an amazing friendly couple. They even provide a nice bottle of wine and a cheese platter to really feel at home. Great place to stay.

My wife and I stayed three nights at this B & B. We found it to be very clean, comfortable and well located - within walking distance of all services, but nicely located in a quiet residential area. The owners were friendly and we were very satisfied with our stay here.
