This was our 6th stay at Mt Quincan, this time was for our 38th wedding anniversary. We arrived late, which wasn't a problem with information sent via text message. We parked and carried our chattels via the boardwalk to our most inviting cabin retreat. Walking down the boardwalk you could feel the magic. Even in the December heat and humidity, the airflow was cool. Ceiling fans added to the comfort. There were heart-shaped red chocolates everywhere and the welcome basket of scones, rustic pumpkin bread and dinky foot socks added to the warm welcome. Eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms and tomato breakfast food for two was in the fridge. The view was fantastic and nature announced our arrival - just beautiful! The place is fully screened so no annoying bugs. The bed was luxury, the spa lovely, his-and-her shower inviting, adding to the magic. Sunlight and raucous birds will welcome you in the morning, so put down all blinds and keep some ear plugs handy if you want to sleep in LOL! Oh and by the way, the sound of someone walking on the roof during the night is a tree kangaroo! The place is magic, romantic and rejuvenating!

This is the second time we have stayed at Mt Quincan in 2024 and once again exceeded our expectations. We were so comfortable there right from the moment we arrived. The special touches including the delicious baked goods and fresh produce in the fridge, not to mention the complimentary Port and chocolates found in the room were so lovely. The bed is super comfy, the bath is also so relaxing at night. Make sure you use the fire while you're there too. We loved using the kitchen to cook our meals and sat on the balcony each morning and night. We used the outdoor shower this time and wow, that was an amazing experience, I highly recommend taking advantage of this! Thanks again for a truly outstanding stay, we will be back.

The "treehouse" was very spacious given that it was a half-octagon shape. The windows gave close to a 180 degree view which felt like we were truly amongst nature. Our balcony view was partially obstructed but still a peaceful outdoor retreat with a cup of coffee in the morning. The breakfast basket had eggs, breads, and meats that you prepare yourself in the comfort of your own kitchen. I had a hard time with the electric stove (I'm used to a gas stove) but the BBQ on the balcony solved this dilemma. And the spa tub... Oh wow... the huge spa tub... heavenly. The bed was very comfortable and the evenings were peaceful with just the sounds of nature. You will need a car here. There isn't much to do except enjoy your retreat room, and the only hiking trail open on the inside crater path was not enjoyable and not a reason to stay here. But The Retreat is a short drive to so many sites including waterfalls, Atherton, hot air ballooning, Lakes, hiking trials, and cute towns.

This is an experience like no other. The views are amazing and the property is teeming with wildlife! The additional extras such as the food hampers and knitted socks really made for a homely stay. Is it a modern, generic property that you could find in a concrete jungle? Absolutely not - and you wouldn't want it to be! A stay at Mt Quincan was exactly the escape we needed and will definitely be back!

My husband and I decided at last minute to go on a road trip. Whilst planning we came across Mt Quincan Crater Retreat.||We had such a wonderful 2 nights. I ordered an additional package (which I can't remember the name of..), Bubbles & ||My husband always thinking of his stomach, but with the breakfast basket we had more than enough to eat. All delicious.||The wildlife noises we awesome.||If you are looking for serenity and getting away from it all, this 2 night stay ticketed all our boxes.

An absolute gem! Surrounded by lush nature, breathtaking views, comfortable cabins, and a peaceful escape. Every morning we see tree kangaroos and some clouds above the crater. This place is ideal for relaxing or adventuring in the Atherton Tablelands.

We recently spent 2 nights at Mt Quincan retreat. The views are breath taking in the treehouses overlooking the Tablelands, be sure to specify when booking as the treehouses overlooking the crater do not offer these views. The swing trail is a must and also provides an amazing view. ||The treehouse itself, whilst lovely, needs some maintenance. The kitchen tap was loose and one side of our barbecue wouldn't light, but luckily we could make do. There is also a strong ammonia smell coming from the wood panels in the bottom of the shower that could be attended to. ||Unfotunately, the hospitality leaves a bit to be desired. I was quite disappointed to hear that my partner was charged an additional $60 fee to have flowers and rose petals, that were delivered by a florist to the office at the property, placed in our treehouse. I understand that arranging rose petals on the bed is an additional task, however, $60 for such a small ask is unreasonable and off putting. When paying $485+ a night for luxury accommodation, a little hospitality wouldn't go astray.

Mt Quincan Crater Retreat is the best place for a couples retreat. The cabins are very well appointed and have so many thoughtful inclusions to ensure that you thoroughly enjoy your stay. Waking to birdsong every day and the feeling of being at one with the trees can’t be beaten. We are already planning our next trip!
