We stayed for just one night in an ocean-view apartment at Ramada Marcoola Beach, and wow—what an amazing experience! Our only regret was not staying longer. The apartment had breathtaking 360-degree ocean views and was fully equipped with everything we needed (and more!). Our children absolutely loved the view and the pool. The only thing that could have made it a 10/10 experience was friendlier staff in general, but overall, we truly enjoyed our stay.

We had a stay booked through Luxury Escapes so we did expect Luxury. The one bedroom apartment was well appointed and comfortable. The bedside table lamp was broken and we also had a bottle break by accident in the entry way to our room and 3 requests made to help us clean all glass debris away. ||The pool was nice however it had broken capping and some tiles falling off, very tired. The restaurant is part of a pub and so was ok pub food. The service was not great during the day, no pool side service so you had to go into the bar/restaurant and hope a staff member was available (busy chatting together). Many times we were standing there with no one in site to serve, then it’s as takeaway in plastic and cardboard. ||Also beware the Wyndham Club push to join. Membership push that my husband who has a great mathematical brain worked out taking out a loan at over 13% plus maintenance fee could see you paying thousands each year for a weekly holiday. The best Luxury was the Day Spa on site. Fantastic massage. ||Also daily housekeeping isn’t included. Will be avoiding Ramada from now on.

Enjoyed this hotel. service was nice and the location was very good however the rooms left something to be desired. they were clean and not horrible but quite small for the price. The pool area was average and for $20 per drink at the poolside bar i couldn’t even drink my way into enjoying it. Not a bad resort but definitely not amazing either.

For a Ramada which I’ve stayed in a few, I was very disappointed.

The room and general facilities were a little small and had aged badly.

There renovations going on to an owned room next to me which wasn’t idea.

I realise it wasn’t peak season but also the facilities weren’t all up and running.

The service was a little average too and when I raised my concerns in writing I was just told that owned rooms and the property were out of their control and nothing can be done.

The pool area was nice and a very short walk to a great beach.

Sadly after that experience I won’t be staying there again nor a Ramada in Australia again as the one in Shoal was also not up to their international standard either but far better than this property.

The level of customer service was exceptional. On raising a problem about our initial room, we were quickly moved to a much nicer room. The pros: the pool area is large and spacious, there is direct beach access, undercover parking in booking price and the Surfair restaurant and sports bar on premises is excellent with great and well priced meals. The down side: you need to hire a car as the suburbs are quite wide apart from Malcoola plus Surfair is managed by another entity so you can't charge back to room.

I recently stayed at this best facility and had an outstanding experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The check-in process was seamless, and I was quickly escorted to my room, which was spotless and beautifully appointed. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities I could ask for. The bed was particularly cozy, ensuring a great night's sleep. The view from my window was stunning, adding to the overall ambiance of relaxation and luxury. The hotel facilities were top-notch. I enjoyed spending time there ….

We stayed for 5 nights, and our friend’s family stayed for 10. The apartments were extremely dirty—stained carpets, filthy walls, and spider webs in every window corner. The corridors were also unclean. No daily room service unless you stay over 5 nights, and even then, they clean only once. Fresh towels, salt, pepper, or coffee must be collected from reception. The gym equipment is old, rusted, and dirty. For the price they charge, the service is unacceptable. Very disappointing.

Ramada Wyndham Marcoola Beach - Average Stay

We recently stayed at the Ramada Wyndham Marcoola Beach, booking three rooms for our group. Unfortunately, our experience was far from ideal.

First off, the rooms were very outdated. One of the rooms was spacious, but the other two were corner rooms that were much smaller. All three rooms had a strong, unpleasant odor, which made it hard to relax. The bathrooms were also in poor condition, with visible mould and signs of age everywhere.

As for the location, it’s fairly average. If you're staying here, there aren't many dining options nearby aside from what's across the road and the on-site hotel restaurant. The restaurant was a highlight – the food was great, and we enjoyed our meals there. There’s also a sports bar next door and pokies for entertainment, but beyond that, the area lacks much to explore.

Parking is limited, which is inconvenient if you're staying with multiple people and have more than one car. On a positive note, the pool was quite good, providing a nice spot to unwind.

Overall, this hotel is in desperate need of an update. While the pool and restaurant are positives, the rooms, bathrooms, and general condition of the property left much to be desired. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless there’s a significant renovation in the near future.
