I can’t find the words to express how relaxing my visit to La Vela was. Alice - my therapist, was welcoming and professional, she tailored each moment of the treatment to my preferences. Her massage was impeccable, I genuinely thought it couldn’t get any better… AND THEN the actual head spa began. You think it looks good in the photos and videos online, but there’s no words to describe how great it actually feels. I will 100% be back, thank you!

I truly don’t know where to begin other than saying my experience with La Vela was nothing but pure bliss. From the moment I entered the doors, the warm greeting and friendly smiles set the scene for what was to come. After a truly stressful few weeks it was above and beyond my expectations. 2 hours of total relaxation the gentle scalp massage, gentle movements, aromatic scents and warmth of the water set the scene for me to relax like never before. I truly felt like I floated away to a place of pure relaxation. I have gone to head spas before but this is just on another level. My hair is the shiniest and smoothest it has ever been. If you truly want an experience that will leave you walking out relaxed with soft silk skin and hair I highly recommend you visit La Vela. Alice and her staff should be congratulated on the experience that has been created. If you are thinking about it just book the experience. You will go back again I guarantee. I know I will.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a Japanese Head Spa and facial at La Vela. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and kind service that instantly made myself and my friend feel welcome. The atmosphere was calming, setting the perfect tone for relaxation.

The treatment itself was incredible. Every step, from the gentle scalp massage to the aromatic oils, was designed to melt away stress. I left feeling refreshed, with my head and mind clear. I’m so happy I found this place. I have been looking for a ‘Japanese style’ head spa on the Gold Coast (as most are up in Brisbane) and finally my wish was granted with La Vela. I made a booking for my mum as a Mother’s Day gift and she absolutely loved every aspect of her experience. I can’t wait to try it myself very, very soon.
The owner is so incredibly kind and she put so much care into making sure mum received the correct service depending on her hair type and scalp needs. She uses natural hair care products specific for each type and also provides herbal/holistic tea for after treatment ‘pick me up’ whilst she does a natural blow-dry, as well as a locally made sweet treat, which mum was a major fan of. The atmosphere of the room is incredible and has been very thought out, in fact the whole business has!
I love that Alice (owner) has made her dream come true and it shows! I just know she will be a very busy lady, so book in quick.
Side note: this review is not sponsored, it was a genuine experience my mum received and mostly I am just so happy that such a beautiful woman treated my mum so well, she is on cloud nine and so so relaxed! I can’t wait to watch this space grow!
Also, just note that there is parking provided out the back of the shop which is an added bonus and not tricky to find a park in busy Palm Beach.

If you're thinking about booking in for a head spa/massage or getting a voucher for a loved one, you absolutely must do it! My experience at La Vela was 90 minutes of pure bliss. I will be recommending this to all my friends and can't wait to come back. Warning..... you will feel so relaxed afterwards that you won't want to do anything else with your day.

My mum and I had the most amazing experience at La Vela. Honestly don’t even know how to describe it. If you’re thinking about it, definitely book with David. He’s so amazing, so attentive and honestly you’ll be somewhere between awake and asleep the entire time. It’s beautiful. The ambience, sounds, the professionalism (let you be quiet the whole way through). My hair has never felt so soft or smelled so good either. I should also say if you’re male and thinking of coming have zero hesitation booking with David, he’s amazing and you’ll absolutely love it. 5 star reviews all round!
