Droped in Saturday morning parked on the road just before ordered large coffee and ham & cheese croissant the coffee was really good, nice creama worth the drive the croissant $10 with ham off the bone and high quality cheese I would of payrd more good value it also had a added chilli chives herb mix sprinkle nice touch it made it . You don't need a man bun come here

I’ve been coming to GD off and on for 9 years, when ever I go to the Gold Coast to visit family. It is a staple. A must visit. An always happy and chilled environment, no matter busy or quiet. The coffee is very good and consistent (no matter who is on the machine). The food, oh man the food! I dream of their avo and toast, I count down the weeks and days till we go back to the Goldie to get that oh so good avo and toast.
The toasties are also 20/10.

I’ve come here a few times for coffee with no issues and generally pleased, but the last visit left me very dissatisfied.

I was in a rush with my toddler and ordered by chatting to the staff member at the counter, not looking at a menu.

When the order came out it had chilli flakes all over it and I mentioned that this wasn’t suitable for my daughter or me. The staff member said that that is their signature dish and perhaps I could scrape it off. I’m not sure if you’ve ever tried to scrape chilli flakes off avocado but it was an impossible challenge. Honestly, that felt insulting. She continued to defend the menu and didn’t seem concerned about actually having a happy customer. In the end I just paid for a new meal without chilli on it, as no viable solution was being offered.
The uneaten meal sat in front of us until I had to take it to another table (as my daughter was hungry and I didn’t want her to eat the chilli).
When the alternative meal came out there was no checking with us if everything was ok. And when we left, no acknowledgment of our presence or custom.

The overall experience left me feeling underwhelmed and entirely undervalued as a customer. I won’t be back.

Could definitely do their coffee better. They've got the equipment for it. The croissants look good, but if it's quality coffee you're after there are better options within a few minutes' walk.

The menu is tiny but yummy. Honestly though the staff and by staff one girl( brunette think she should be on a catwalk ) . Just really unfriendly. You felt like you were being an inconvenience to her by even being there. She Does this cafe such a dis - serves , like just be friendly
