Had a wonderful 8 day stay at Portobello by the Sea apartment #57. It was on the 3rd floor which is the top floor and has a lift with one small set of stairs to reach it. Parking is available in the basement which is accessed by key.|The apartment was very well fitted out for all our needs and it was lovely to have air conditioning. We loved the big TV and now we are home…ours seems small. Plenty of channels to choose from and comfortable seating. The shutters on the windows were great and allowed for light and/or privacy. The deck was nice to relax on and overlooked the pool area. Pool area was good and the water nice and cooling on the hot days we stayed. The area was quiet though over the weekend more children were staying and swimming in the pool so you could hear them playing. Dicky Beach was just across the road if you wanted to swim in the sea.|The Wi-Fi was really reliable and easy to set up. The kitchen had everything you need and close by is a little superette for groceries. Very handy restaurants and takeaways for a selection of meals. I recommend the Dicky Beach Surf club which is a few minutes’ walk away. The washing machine was easy to use. Didn’t use the drier as hung clothes to dry on the deck.|Apartment was very clean and tidy and when the cleaners came, they were super polite and respectful. All in all, I recommend apartment to stay #57!

My wife and I stayed at Portobello by the Sea for 2 nights. Our room, although a bit dated, was spacious and clean and the bed really comfortable. The pool area is fantastic and is heated for the cooler months. It’s all close to shops and food, and a stones throw from the beach. We recommend it!

If I could give 6 stars I would. A big thanks to both Ramu and Shellagh for going above and beyond anything we have experienced anywhere, and we have travelled extensively. We were caught in Cyclone Alfred. At short notice they found us room, and allowed us in early. They have also allowed us to stay two or three hours longer to coincide with our pick-up to the airport.
We would thoroughly recommend this property for all the usual reasons as well.

Disappointed that the pool was closed during our stay. We did not receive an email to let us know. Office lady said she had sent an email. This did not happen apartment smelt of strong bleach. We expected a lift to the third floor. The lift moved between floors but not to each floor. We then had to walk up to the next floor. Very confusing

Lovely little resort in a prime location. Apartment was light and breezy, very spacious and comfortable. Perfect for rests in between trips to both Dicky Beach (across the road) and Moffat Beach (a short walk). Great pizza place and Thai restaurant just downstairs, and my young son loved the large pool play area and lots of grass and gardens.

Very lovely location. No oven in the kitchen, things are old and dirty. Pool is very nice. Very quiet area as well. Place looks old and beaten up, but you get what you pay for.

Stayed here some years ago and loved the place so came back when visiting the area.
Accommodation is in a brilliant location close to Dickie Beach. Supermarket, coffee shops, takeaway, butcher, food takeaway and a bar nearby. Accommodation is clean and well maintained and is well run. Great heated pool and BBQ. Lots of parking in the basement. We had a studio apartment which had a fully equipped kitchen. Large bedroom with large walk in wardrobe. Large lounge withe dinning table. Large balcony and aircon. Everything we needed including washer and drier.
Great place to stay and close to the beautiful Dickie Beach.
We'll defo return again and recommend to others.
