We came for a week and stayed for five – great place, staff, and amenities. The food in the pub was worth a visit alone.

The only disappointment was that I didn’t catch much from the beach, but the blame for this cannot be placed on the resort. I blame the pub and the amazing food they served, which kept me off the beach fishing – only to watch the fish busting the surface from one of the benches on the grass!

Some renovations were going on in February, and I was told more were planned, so the place will be looking smart for this busy season.

Compared to our last stay, 5 years ago at the beach house we were disappointed by the service, and follow up by management was poor. We were made to feel that we were an inconvenience. We won't be staying here again. The highlight of our stay were our friendly neighbours.

As stated - we received free breakfast. Because none of the staff knew how to operate the stove/oven. We would have gladly cooked our own food on the BBQ that Ron offered, but didn't deliver on. Then we were made to feel that the issue was ours because staff didn't know how to operate the stove top for the first day and a half. We paid over $2,000 to rent the beach house. Not to mention the lack of decent customer service and lack of communication by Ron. We did not have these issues when we stayed previously.

The fact that the response to our experience is being dismissed and being told that our comments are unfair is only proving our point. Not acknowledging our experience is unfair. If you look through other low star reviews, you'll find similar responses from the Resort to other people's experiences. Completely dismissive and untrue. The whole point of leaving a review as a customer is to share your experience of something. Whether you agree with it, is irrelevant.

I am very disappointed as our holiday was not to be rated on.. (previously we stayed 5 years ago...this is below the mark) I booked and organised the beach house for 6 days for my family. Deposit was paid balance to be paid on arrival (which we did)
Prior to this I rang a couple of days before and asked for a later check-out, making sure everything was in order.
(The guy I spoke to Ron said yes all good, and just mentioned if someone checks in we will have to be out early and he will put it in the book.. that was fine I said)

So from day of check in payment was made in full and looking forward to a wonderful holiday.

You would expect better customer service, communication and more from Management, especially the amount we paid as a family over $2000..

A free breakfast doesn't cut it, when we had our own food ready to cook..
(Because the stove/oven couldn't get it working on CHECK IN)

Management asks me who said we can have a late check out.. I explained it to them (trying to put the blame on me and I said no one came to let me/us know about the CHECK OUT. (which they could have yesterday)

Poor Management
We will not be returning.

Geraldton Masonic Lodge from Tully held their festive get together here again for lunch on Sunday 7th December 2024. The food was great. The drinks were great. The service and atmosphere were great. Highly recommended and we will be back again.

Great place great staff, very helpful, we had a great spot good shade next to the camp kitchen and the clean toilets, pool is good temp for a hot day and fishing from the beach. Will be back to this great park. Thanks all

This is such a simple standard which so many get wrong,friendly staff,awesome clean amenities,too die for views,swimming pool and the meals at the pub are worth bragging about.
Not forgetting happy hour daily 4.30-5.30 ensures the perfect setting to chat with newly acquainted friends,you won't be disappointed.

We were really impressed with King Reef Resort. The room was perfect - clean, spacious and modern. There was a new coffee pod machine and the TV is modern and works well. The bed was comfortable and the air con priceless! The grounds are well maintained and clean and the man at reception was helpful and friendly. Hats off to Alex, one of the staff who took the time to chat to us and welcome us - she made our arrival pleasant. Good location - outstanding! Very happy with our choice to stay here.
