Thank you Mt Mulligan for the most amazing 5 days 4 night stay. We were recommended the lodge for friends in Cairns and it did not disappoint, it would have to be one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. From the time we drove in the gates we felt very special. The grounds were fabulous with amazing plants and walkways. Our room was stunning with a beautiful lounge chair to relax on and watch the birds and wildlife. You could be as active or relaxed as you liked. We loved the activities and the walks, the mining tour and gold mine tour were interesting. The walks were amazing some we did on our own and some with guide, we loved the walk up to the ravine and the swim in the pool. The food was fresh and so tasteful, every meal was a delight. Some nights we enjoyed dinner alone and other night we shared with the other guests. The staff obviously loved their jobs they were fabulous, very knowledgeable about the history and willing to share their experiences with us. I can only suggest you ignore the two average reviews on this page. As of Nov 2024, we had the MOST incredible and luxurious stay at Mt Mulligan Lodge. ||Wow! We came to Mt Mulligan Lodge straight from Lizard Island and WOW… mt mulligan blew our minds! ||Arriving by helicopter was sensational. The service, staff, attention to detail, interiors, everything was so incredible. ||Our room was enormous and luxurious with amazing views of mount mulligan. We were upgraded too which was lovely. We had an outdoor bath on our deck which was so nice. ||All the meals were so beautifully thought through. Lunch is a feasting style, themed and changing everyday. ||ALL of the staff were so interesting and fun. ALSO a huge 5* to our lovely activity guide, Tim, who took us on 4 amazing trips. We did a tour of the old gold mine, an ATV adventure, star gazing after dinner, as well as a tour of the old township and coal mine town on ATVs. He was fun and energetic and knew SO much about the local environment, indigenous culture, stars and planets, gold mines, etc etc the list goes on. He really made our trip, along with the whole team in F&B.|| If you are thinking about booking Mt Mulligan - do not hesitate!! ||(Also, really glad we did our 3 nights at MML after 3 nights in the Great Barrier Reef and 3 nights in the Daintree - really cool way to experience the reef, rainforest and outback. Mt Mulligan was the standout best of the three!!!)

We did a tour of the old gold mine, an ATV adventure, star gazing after dinner, as well as a tour of the old township and coal mine town on ATVs. The most relaxing and rejuvenating holiday I have ever experienced. For those that appreciate tranquility and a view that does not get 'old', Mt Mulligan Lodge is up there with the best of the best. Nice having the options to go on a 4 hour hike exploring a stunning creek bed or relax on your balcony or by the pool listening to birdsong.|World class service, food and accomodation! Highly recommend the 'Dining under the stars' experience... just perfection.

We stayed in the tents and had a fantastic time at Mt Mulligan. The tents had AC that worked well and were very nicely decorated with plenty of space to unpack and feel comfortable. You get golf carts to go back and forth to the main lodge and it's super quiet with beautiful views. The only thing I would love to see is a bigger mirror in the bathroom. The one provided is super tiny. ||The morning excursions in high end version of ATVs and trip to the coal mine village were really interesting and fun. We liked that we had afternoons to explore on our own, relax, play games, or schedule an additional experience. It's nice and quiet and relaxing. All of the facilities were top notch and the chefs prepared wonderful meals each day and night. The staff in general was great. Highly recommend doing the dining under the stars experience. We were there for 3 nights and could have stayed 4-5 easily. The views are stunning and you never tire of them.

We had the most amazing time at Mt Mulligan Lodge. The food was amazing (especially the themed lunches), the staff so nice and sweet (you know they love to be there) and the activities super fun and interesting. And of course the location is incredible!

My daughter and I had an incredible 2 night stay at Mount Mulligan Lodge. |The young, international staff are truly welcoming and their enthusiasm for the location and it's surroundings is exceptional as is their knowledge - special mention to Neve. |The inclusive experiences were unique and we were fortunate to enjoy sunrise over Mount Mulligan, a trip to the old gold mine and an ATV adventure.|As most of the reviews note, the food is fantastic using herbs from the Lodge garden and Queensland produce where possible. . Where special dietary needs exist (my daughter is gluten free), the menu will be carefully adapted.|What prompted me to submit this review is the place and the people who staff it. Superb.

We had a memorable experience outback at Mt Mulligan. The tours were organised each day and informative history of the mining towns was amazing. Staff were professional and friendly. The Chef had such creative flare with meals and matching flavours. The helicopters were beautiful and comfortable. The flights were smooth and the scenery spectacular. Hope to return soon.
