Nice little venue. Worth checking out. Most of the staff very friendly. Only annoyance was music playing inside was different genre to the one playing in the kitchen, which was off putting, however not an issue if you sit outside.

The Sugar Mill is one in a Mill-ion!

The Mrs and I drove out to Dayboro today to get away from the Brisbane buzz. We explored the village of Dayboro a little, and finally anchored (pooch on a leash) at a local JEWEL – The Sugar Mill. What a lovely experience!

We were served by friendly engaging staff (who knows all about that delicate balance between being present without parking themselves at your table. Even the young lad running the food from upstairs were invested in us as customers and had great interaction for just the right amount of time to make a great impression. Management can be proud of these young folk…when we move into Aged Care, these are they type of people I would want around… 😊😉), on the outside deck where carefully selected artistic, rustic décor underpins the relaxed outdoor restaurant vibe…we loved it.

As for the food…it should be enough of a testimony that we drove all the way from Brisbane to have the BBQ Loaded fries and Crispy Chicken - and weren’t they crisped to perfection. Great presentation and super tasty. A HUGE compliment to the chef! This was indeed worth the trip and EXACTLY as described! You did well, Mate!

We’ll be back…for sure. Next time, we’re bringing the crowd… Keep on Milling! You’re all doing great!! (PS. Toby said thanks for providing the water bowl).

Thank you to Nat and all the wonderful team. We held our daughters baby shower in the outdoor area and it was excellent. The food platters where absolutely amazing and loaded. We definitely didn't go hungry. Highly recommended stopping in and having a meal and a drink. Thank you again to your team for making the afternoon so enjoyable.

Thanks Sugar Mill staff! I just had the best burger I think I’ve ever had. Daughters pulled pork nachos was great as well.

We've recently had the pleasure of having lunch at the Sugar Mill. Not only did we have a taste bud explosion with what seems to be the best burgers we've ever tasted but they've also treated us like gold. Best service and friendly staff. Ferne is the best waitress and has such a beautiful caring personality. We're already planning our next visit!

A great and relatively new place that specialises in burgers and beer but is in no way limited to that. I did have a burger though and it was amazing and worth the bragging. Great outdoor area that has live music Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Open til late which would look awesome with all the lights strung up overhead.
