We stayed at Waterfall Lodge in Carool the night before our wedding at Summergrove Estate, and it was an absolutely magical experience. From the moment we booked, Susan and Peter were incredible hosts—so accommodating and communicative, making everything seamless. Check-in was effortless, and they truly thought of everything to make our stay special.

The lodge itself is stunning, with a beautifully designed interior that feels luxurious yet cozy. They went above and beyond with thoughtful touches like tea, coffee, juice, milk, a few beers, wine, chocolates, Pringles, nuts, and even marshmallows with roasting sticks! To top it all off, they left us roses and a beautiful card to congratulate us on our wedding, which was such a heartwarming surprise.

Hearing the soothing sounds of the waterfall just outside added to the serene, secluded atmosphere. We enjoyed a romantic candle-lit bubble bath, complete with plush robes and slippers, which made the night even more special. It was such a perfect way to relax before our big day.

This is truly a 5-star experience, and we’re already counting down the days until we can return for our anniversary. Waterfall Lodge is such a special place, and we can’t recommend it highly enough!

Just had a beautiful stay here for our anniversary and cannot speak highly enough. Waterfall lodge exceeded our expectations, the waterfall is so beautiful and you can see it from inside the cabin. The cabin is extremely comfortably furnished, well thought out, and great attention to detail (marshmallows and sticks provided for the fire, fire is set up and ready to light, blankets on the outdoor seats so you can keep warm while you enjoy the stunning view). Would recommend to anyone!

We recently stayed here to celebrate my husbands 40th Birthday. The photos do not do this place justice, it was very quiet, you felt as if you were secluded. We had everything we needed and would most definitely stay here again!

Like so many other reviews say, this place is a hidden gem. My partner and I stayed there for our anniversary and we didn't want to leave. The views, location, fit out, complementary goodies and the bath tub are all amazingly good. The sounds of the waterfall is so nice and lovely to wake up to. We absolutely loved staying at Waterfall lodge and cannot wait to go back. Thank you Peter and Susan for establishing such an amazing retreat.

We stayed at Waterfall Lodge for our anniversary. I honestly can’t explain how beautiful the view is. The lodge far exceeded my expectations, every little thing was thought of. The bath … wow … is the only word i can think of. Maybe swimming pool is a better description? It is so wonderful and spacious. This really is the definition of a couples retreat. We will be back next year! Thank you Peter and Susan for allowing us to enjoy your little slice of heaven. We will be back.

Wow! What a spectacular place to stay.

My partner and I booked Waterfall Lodge as we were attending a wedding nearby and the place was so gorgeous we almost didn't want to leave to attend the wedding on the night (but we did).

It is just such a beautiful, tranquil place to be, sleeping with the sound of the waterfall nearby was amazing. Super comfy bed and the bathtub, OMG.

We stayed three nights and really didn't want to leave to go back to the hustle and bustle of city life.

The owners were great to deal with. They accommodated our every need (the only thing we needed was a ride to the nearby wedding and back) otherwise its completely private like it's your own piece of paradise. A super friendly husband and wife team.

Everything in the lodge is all you'll need.

We still miss the time we spent there. It was such an amazing 3 days of pure tranquillity. We will definitely be booking again just when we feel like a break in paradise.

We can't recommend this place highly enough. We wish we owned it so we could stay there whenever we wanted.
