I felt exhausted and just wanted a nice quiet lunch but the music going though speakers was quite loud so I asked the bar staff if there was a quieter place to sit but she said no. She was very nice and explained that the music was on as quiet as it goes. Even outside was loud, there was no getting away from it. I ordered a med. well steak but got a very well cooked one. Lucky I ordered mushroom gravy to moisten it.
The staff are nice but don't go there for peace and quiet. I understand why there were few people there. There just needs to be a few speakers turned off in at least one corner of the lounge.

It’s a very budget hotel and you can tell. Rooms were very simple, a bit outdated (cracks on the walls or old furniture) and the toilets and showers are shared facilities. However each room has a sink and mirror useful for brushing teeth and hands. Reception staff were excellent and they allowed us free luggage storage which was amazing! Also they have free tea and coffee plus a microwave and water dispenser in the lobby. It saved us so much money not having to go out to buy meals! They also have a coin washer and drier for laundry. We stayed in a king bed room as we were a couple but we know they offer shared bunk beds etc so perfect for solo travellers. Location was good but a bit far from the main gold coast. 1 hr from surfers paradise via public transport. However there was palm beach just 5 mins walk away which was equally as good as surfers paradise but without the people. Also Cole’s down the road and many shops and restaurants to choose from. Good choice for budget travellers specially if you are planning on being out most of the day, would recommend

I took my wife and family there for my wife’s birthday on Sunday. We had a party of 10. The food was amazing and very price friendly. Portion sizes over and above average. The staff were courteous and very polite. As a Palm Beach local many years I would encourage you to dine there before the overpriced Surf Clubs that don’t give you any where near the service and pricing.

Great atmosphere and the loveliest staff. They will always find a way to make your day that much more spectacular and put a smile on your face. I will always recommend coming here for either a full blown sit down dinner and drinks, or even just a quick catch up with mates.
That food is great, so are the drinks. You will never not have a good time at the palm beach hotel 🩷

Was pretty good, but the toilet is downstairs. I could not find the accommodation access when i arrived and parked the car at the carpark behind the building. I had to ask staffs who work at the pub on ground floor, but they were not really pleasant. They finally contacted accommodation staff and let me in. He was nice and chill though. Although there are some inconveniences, the location, parking, interior and price are quite reasonable, so i will stay there again.

Went there on Christmas Day for their buffet. It was fabulous. Such an enjoyable Christmas lunch. There was no shortage of food or drinks which included so many delicious desserts. The queue was long at times but there was plenty of food to go around. The staff were amazing, even when they were knee deep in thirsty patrons, they kept smiling.

Absolutely love coming to Palm Beach Hotel! Great location and staff, always very helpful and accomodating. Food is amazing and great pricing! Drinks are affordable and reasonably priced! Great for a quick drink, birthdays or a get together with friends & family. Definitely recommend.
