A lovely verandah relaxed spot overlooking the water and a few lazing kangaroos. Great choice of gluten free cakes, best we have seen for ages. Perfect coffee and fabulous customer service. Highly recommend

Ordered an iced coconut latte, coffee was the last thing to come to the table and it was disgustingly sweet, I even ordered it with an extra shot of coffee but it was completely undrinkable. I took it to the counter and they seemed quite busy so asked if they could put more milk in it to dilute the sweetness instead of remaking it completely but the blonde waitress told me she would have to charge me for more milk! Left the untouched drink on the counter. That’s terrible customer service. Won’t be back and certainly do not recommend their coffee unless you like drinking a cup of straight sugar.

You need to train your staff not to dump half the bottle of syrup into your drinks. My mouth literally went numb from all the sugar in it. The coffee was left full on the table no one in my group could drink it and we hate not only wasting food but wasting $9. Obviously I wouldn’t have left a full drink that cost $9 behind if it was somewhat palatable or bothered to leave a review. Your response to mine and other reviews is childish and arrogant for a business owner, staff make mistakes but you need to be willing to take feedback and use it to train your staff to be better. Especially in a small town, treating locals that way is going to put you out of business.

This is my go to venue when I have meetings out with my clients. I know that the food and beverages are always of a high standard and the staff are super friendly and super efficient. My family considers River Heads Cafe and Take Away the best for their pizzas and their burgeres are to die for. Yesterday I had a lovely gluten free cheese cake with my latte, and it was absolutely devine. Love you guys at River Heads Cafe and Take Away...

We had an amazing set of burgers and fries for lunch whilst waiting for the next ferry. Highly recommend the Works burger with fries and chose the tender rib fillet - its a generous portion and shared between 2 girls this was perfect. The Hamburger with fries also really good and a comfortable amount for 1 person. Super friendly and on the ball team, and nice clean space to relax on the balcony overlooking the water with some light fans above. Highly recommend!

Nice quiet cafe to enjoy a relaxed meal and coffee. I had BLT which was very tasty and a generous portion. Coffee was good although I will say $9 for a coffee was a bit over the top. Still an overall good experience.

If there is one thing I can't stand, it's my order being stuffed up and then bring made to feel guilty when asking why it was wrong. I asked for a bacon and egg roll with a coffee. I got the wrap instead. When I asked about the wrap I was gaslit, being told this IS what I ordered. Well, you have cameras. If you want to falsely accuse your clientele, at least back it up.

Avoid this place. Young staff are stuck up and will blame you for their mistakes.
