The acoustics are great! Sound is excellent. Stage and lighting very good.

every seat, you can see.
You can buy drinks and snacks.

I don't remember what the toilets are like, I don't think I've used them.

Parking is good.

Walking distance to many food options on Sunshine Beach Rd.

Downside:
the chairs are connected together in a row, so if someone is fully loving the music and chair dancing or even tapping their foot, you get bounced around by their movement.

I have noticed this to be unnerving for the elderly and those with sensory issues.
As it feels like the person behind you kicking your chair, but it is not.

If using a large electric wheelchair, it is a bit tricky for people to get past to go down the row that you're in, I suggest you come in to be seated last and leave first, so then you don't get bumped or kind of climbed around.

They are companion card friendly. (You need to ring to book using that)

There is safe space to leave wheely walkers or unneeded wheelchairs.

The time on your ticket is show start, if you want a drink, get there 30mins before -minimum, as they call you in to be seated 15 minutes before show start

What an incredible venue. Our first visit but we have already booked two more visits for 2023. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Venue itself is not large, but a perfect size that even the back rows of the theatre are fantastic. Such a variety of performances coming up to ensure we will be back time and time again. Thoroughly recommended.

Amazing acoustics; well laid out; 3 levels of seating (flat close to the stage, slightly sloped behind them and a mezzanine at the back without approx 23 rows all up); comfortable seats; clean toilets; adequate bar facilities; relatively intimate for the (~ 400 sized) audience.

Our family went to see Ash Grunwald (who was awesome 👌) at the J .. this is a really great venue, good sound and light facilities but not too big so you feel close to the entertainment .. thoroughly enjoyable night out

Good venue have been to The J on several occasions for comedy show the most recent Melbourne comedy festival its a relatively small venue with limited parking. The J is a licensed venue, and there are multiple bars onsite.
Several restaurants are close by.

Having attended the Sandy Bolton Queensland Day awards, the J was the perfect venue. Clear acoustics, comfortable seating arrangements, and a very entertaining mc.
