Disappointing

Lovely ambience

Service was poor really - some French guy with zero interest as he was leaving the country to go to Mexico instead

While we were talking he (twice) marched up to the table and interrupted us, talking straight over the top of us. The second time pushing a dessert menu between us so we couldn't actually see each other 😂

Were not asked how the food was until right at the end of the meal and turned his back on us and tried to walk off before we could answer

We never got offered any water top-ups throughout the meal despite other servers topping up theirs.

Very poor service. BUT, allowed to by management as no supervision or oversight of standards

Food - mixed

Beef tartar was very nice, also soft-shell crab

Pork loin - over-cooked, dry and not so tender

Barramundi - we appreciate most fish and meat must be frozen as my partner is a head chef - this is not the issue

But Barramundi did not flake, it was a 'mush' and slightly overcooked - very unpleasant texture, really

So I'm sure they have better servers, but need better managers. You can't have uninterested servers allowed to perform like this

Food - just not very good cheffing of the main courses

Pork should not be dry and chewy and fish should not be mushy - again, who's setting standards?

At $250 it's very poor value for that food and service

For someone like me who loves mushrooms but has a partner who doesn't going out for dinner is the best change to eat them. And Zinc was the best spot to do so in my opinion. That mushroom gnocchi is amazing.
We also had the pork belly as a starter and my partner the pumkin risotto. It was a delight. To bad we already had a big lunch because the banana dessert sounds really good.

Really loved this place, friendly good staff and would really recommend.

Excellent service and food. Particularly a big fan of the Wolf Lane Tropical cocktail mix with cucumber. Ceviche, Salmon Sashimi, Lamb Ragu and Barramundi were an absolute hit!

Very nice Italian-inspired cuisine. Friendly and attentive service. We recommend the scallops, the marinated raw fish and the beef ragu papardelles. They take the Privileges card for 25% discount.

Loved it. Second time back. Staff and team this time were fantastic. Excellent service - all the etiquette was involved. Asked if we would like to order any drinks to start - no mucking around and having to wait too long for this. Serviette placed on lap. Cocktails and entrees all arrived within ten minutes of ordering. Staff were polite and friendly without being too chatty as to not disrupt the meal. Ceviche was absolutely beautiful. Cocktails presented beautifully with the right glassware for the drink, and appropriately garnished for a “special” touch that we all love when ordering a cocktail. Mains and entrees were spaced beautifully. Thanks and I’ll be back!

A great restaurant for an early dinner with the family. We sat outside and there was enough room to move around and explore. They were great with our dietary requirements, explained the options and happily checked details with the kitchen. There are a few big fish tanks to check out too. Dinner was very tasty !
