Great location just across the road from the beach with friendly service, great selection of cocktails and plenty of options on the menu.
They also have happy hour drink and food specials, which we couldn't resist a couple of cocktails and snacks.
Highly recommend if in the area.

Have just returned from a week at Coolum, & our stay was made so pleasurable from this absolute treasure. The bar/ restaurant has a cool funky relaxed vibe by day & at night the mood changes to more relaxed sophistication.
Lisa & her team are highly attentive ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. We ate there numerous times everything we had was seriously delicious including entrees, mains & desserts all were faultless.
Cocktail menu…. what’s to say except fabulous & who doesn’t enjoy Happy Hour from 3-5:30.
Can’t decide on my favourites as there were far too many & all were amazing.
Would highly recommend this venue for everyone. Book to avoid missing out!

The most amazing place to stop for a while. Beautiful music, the performers were wonderful. The staff were attentive and the food was truly exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend happy hour 🤗 highlight of our stray at Coolum 🍾🥂💖

My friends and I had a great time at canteen kitchen+bar. The food is AMAZING, the cocktails, especially Lychee strawberry mojito is the best one. Cléber service was so nice to us and gave us really good recommendations about food and drinks. I highly recommend it.

Canteen Coolum: A Disappointing Experience

My recent visit to Canteen Coolum was nothing short of a disaster. From the moment we walked in, the wait staff were rude and showed no interest in providing any degree of customer service.

For starters, I had the dumplings, which were served with whole edamame. I had to pick them up with my fingers to eat, which was quite inconvenient. My partner had the spring rolls, but the sauce was so spicy that it was inedible. My friend ordered the scallop, and to our surprise, it was just one scallop for an entree. How ridiculous!

For the main course, I ordered a steak, requesting it to be medium rare. However, it came out well done and was cut into thin slices. It was evident that the chef knew it was overcooked but still decided to serve it. My friend had the garlic prawn spaghetti, which was incredibly bland and lacked any flavor.

We expressed our dissatisfaction to the manager, but he showed no concern or willingness to address our issues. Overall, I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, as they clearly have no idea about food or service.
