I really want to write that Lakeshore Lodge is a terrible place because then I could have this fantastic place all to myself whenever I go there, but in keeping with the spirit of TripAdvisor I'll be honest and say that Lakeshore Lodge is absolutely awesome. ||It is situated in a secluded part of Burrill Lake frontage, perched by the water on over 125 acres of natural bushland. The lodge consists of a couple of 2br and 1br apartments on the groumd floor, with the owners living on the upper level of the building. They are always onsite in case you need anything. Paul and Anne are very friendly and it's always a pleasure to have a chat with them. ||There is an abundance of wildlife on the property but thankfully I didn't encounter and snakes!||Whilst it is true that you can only access the property via a 1km dirt road, it is graded and perfectly suitable for 2wd vehicles. ||It is so peaceful and tranquil. It is so nice to wake up to a symphony of birds calling out to the morning. ||The apartment was very clean and comfortable. I stayed in a 2br apartment and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. Be sure to bring all the food, drink and other supplies you need with you. There is also a Coles in Ulladulla if you forget anything. ||The only thing I wished the property had was a gazebo to sit out in and have a drink or play a game of cards and be sheltered from the rain or sun - although not having this feature did not put any dampener on my stay there. ||I highly recommend staying here. ||P.S. a big shout out to host/owner Paul for giving me a jump start when my battery decided to pack it in as I was about to leave.

Lakeshore Lodge is only 10 mins outside Milton town but it feels like miles away. Right on Burrill Lake, you get there by a well used unsealed road that added to the seclusion. The owners were friendly and let us know when there were kangaroos outside. Our one bedroom apartment was comfortable, and one of a few under the owner's accommodation. We stocked up in the Milton and made good use of the kitchen in the apartment. The nearest beach, Mollymook, is beautiful and only 15 minutes away. This was a great place to stay and explore a really lovely part of the south coast. The only two things we would have liked were ceiling fans for the hotter days - and a hammock near the lake.

Had a wonderful stay, my family and I enjoyed their hospitality. Paul, Ann, Chris and Liam are wonderful people and they looked after us very well. Truly wild and nature, don't miss the big Igwana (Komodo Dragon), amazing, and not to forget the family of 12 Kangaroos you see everyday, birds, and lots more. Fun bush walk was also highlight of our stay. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Good job Paul and Ann, and we look forward to seeing you again... Thank you. Pradeep and Rajani

We spent the night after our wedding here. We were the only guests so it was blissfully quiet. ||The apt. Is spotlessly clean. We didn't use the kitchen, but is was well stocked for meal prep.||The local kangaroos were very photogenic. Lovely, friendly owners. The only negative is the||rough road the last kilometer or two. Beautiful location.

We just had the best two days for a long time at Lakeshore Lodge. It was exactly what we looking for. Our apartment was clean and the surroundings was just peaceful and calm. It was very relaxing for both of us. The owners Paul and Anne we very friendly and welcoming and even went out of their way to arrange for me to be able to watch the footy finals in our apartment.|We are certainly coming back to the Lodge soon.|

It is approximately 10kms out of Milton on the way to Pigeon House. The website map is not detailed enough so do your own research. I suggest if your not familiar with the area then make plans to arrive before dark. There is signage but it can be difficult to read and most likely not readable at night. The signage on the property has been made by the owners. The road up to the lodge is unsealed. 4WD no problem. Bring mossie repellant. There is no aircon. There is screen doors however they don't meet up so mossies will come in regardless. There is Foxtel and Wifi. One of the first things you should do when you arrive is turn on the shower. It takes about 10 minutes for the water to get to the apartment and when it does it is fine and water is reasonably hot. The apartments are under the main house. They are self contained and are clean. They don't supply any little toiletries so make sure you bring your own. It is a bit pricey for no little extras. Owner said to watch out for goannas and the odd snake. Burrell Lake is visible through the scrub but if you wanted to walk it is about 3km as other areas are not accessible from the property. I would not call it kid friendly especially if you were staying during inclement weather. It is peaceful and surrounded by bird life and kangaroos which don't mind that people take photos.

Excellent self-catering room, overlooking a magical lake about 10 km from Milton. It is a version of paradise and a real gem of a find. So beautifully peaceful and serenely quiet, hidden in bushland. Several kangaroos and magnificent birdlife complement the whole scene.

Nice location, right on the lake - perfect for our kayaks and small sailboat. Paul was very welcoming. Apartment was meticulously clean with fair to excellent quality furnishings and very comfy beds.
