Friendly staff. great location with a short walk into town, fantastic pool looking over the beach, great day beds and daily happy hour. The rooms are beautifully furnished, great view from the balcony, comfortable bed. We couldn't ask for anything more. The rooms and grounds are very clean and well maintained. Great breakfast, outdoors overlooking the pool and the ocean. Absolutely loved it here.

The view is spectacular and the pool and outdoor area was stunning, BUT the blonde older lady in the bar needs some training in how to deal with PAYING customers..
$15.40 for fries on a Sunday… yes I know it’s a resort and I was happy to pay for them but to then be served a TINY SIDE bowl of over cooked fries was disgusting..
I went and asked if I may of been given a kids serving of fries as surely this is not correct for $15 ?
The lady responded “potato’s are expensive “ I had to hold back from laughing… but she was dam serious as that is her reasoning for giving my children a below average side bowl of fries..
She then told me
No this is correct…
Coral sea is absolutely taking families and guests for a ride charging them this type of money for legit a tiny side bowl of fries .
I have worked in hospitality for 20 years and would always want to make the guest leave with a happy experience… this lady/manager of the bar could of easily rectified this issue by giving my family another small bowl of fries but no it was basically like, sorry this is what we serve.
Disappointing considering how much they charge for drinks and the rooms…
I’m sure coral sea could have been in a position to give my children a bowl of fries after what we were given.
Crazy that one small crappy bowl of fries could leave such a bad review of your holiday .

Nice hotel, comfortable, well equipped rooms, excellent location. The views are great and the pool attractive; good quality food. |The issue we had was the music in the bar / restaurant / pool, which was on from about 6.30 am to about 9.30 pm when the bar / restaurant closed. It wasn't particularly loud, but the bass level so high it was really difficult to ignore. Unfortunately our room was immediately above the restaurant so the banging bass was clearly audible until the restaurant closed, and then again first thing in the morning. I guess this wouldn't bother some people but it did bother us; the hotel staff listened to our concerns, but were seemingly baffled by them. We eventually managed to get our room changed, but it took some perseverance and research of our own on availability.|Happily the new room was beautiful with a fantastic view so we really enjoyed the later part of our stay and would recommend the hotel, apart from the banging bass issue.

Check in went smoothly after our transfer from Whitsunday airport. We had a third floor room with a sea view and large balcony which was absolutely stunning (bath tub on the balcony was a great touch). The views were amazing. |There was a small kitchen, with a microwave and fridge. |The bathroom was large with a powerful rainforest shower. It also included complementary shampoo and conditioner dispensers.|The bar and restaurant were in a perfect location overlooking the swimming pool (great large loungers, beach towels were tiny and looked lost on them)! Continental breakfast was included in our room rate, it was a very basic offering considering the room cost. Food and drink prices were high and the 10% surcharge on food and drink on a Sunday was a surprise; we have travelled all over the world but have never come across this before.|We would highly recommend this hotel due to its location and high standard. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great location!! Nice room, but basic. Bed was very hard. Lovely views from our room, would benefit with more comfortable outdoor furniture considering the price of the room. Friendly staff, nice food & reasonable continental breakfast provided. I wouldn’t say a 4 1/2 star resort, but great location & pleasant stay. NOTE when booking, ask if there are any weddings planned during your stay. The resort is not large & during our stay a wedding took place, the beach, lawn area & jetty were closed to hotel guests for the day. Very disappointing for our last day as this was our honeymoon. Staff weren’t very helpful with our concerns over the resort closures to guests. Apparently this is a regular occurrence.

We recently had our wedding here and were so happy. The location and rooms are absolutely beautiful. The events team made it so easy and kept us informed with any changes. The staff were very helpful. I would 100% recommend Coral Sea Resort for anyone looking for a wedding venue.

I and my new wife enjoyed our experience.
The bed was too hard for my back.
There was no oven or microwave.
The sheets were never changed, they were pulled up.
There was no lounge.
The tv had only Local stations.
The cushions were unwashed.
The shower leaked.
The buffet breakfast could of had hot food. Like bacon and eggs for free.
The pool was amazing.
Happy hour was amazing.
The beach was awesome.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, hence I can’t not review the rooms we only had a drink at the pool but couldn’t swim (only for in house guest). Pool is huge to be honest +++ very good location, walking distance to Airlie Beach’s Main Street. We had a drink, near a small artificial beach, with a beautiful sunset +++. Pool service was inexistant and we did order through QR, no one checked on us nor asked if we wanted for another round.
We moved to the restaurant, waiter was nice and friendly but the menu is messy… you have to look everywhere, perhaps and entre, mains, dessert layout could be better. Food was good but for the price I would expect to be amazing.
I would return but not for diner, only for snacks and drinks near the pool
