I recently had the pleasure of dining at this pub, and I couldn't be more impressed! The recent renovations have really elevated the space, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was fantastic—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned.

The service was equally outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. What really stood out was the kids' area—it’s absolutely amazing! It kept the little ones entertained, allowing us to enjoy our meal in peace.

Highly recommend this place for families and anyone looking for a great feed with top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back!

As locals we were thrilled to see the pub undergo renovations and they have done such a terrific job at creating a welcoming place.

The staff are incredible, always so happy and helpful.

The food is ok, it needs to be more consistent and elevated for the price of things. Unfortunately kids meals have been cold on two occasions.

Hopefully it keeps continuing to get better and better, it's certainly on the right track.

Stayed there for a week. great price. staff Amazingly Friendly, Easy to deal with.
The room was exceptionally clean, Comfy bed Plenty of storage. Bathroom and shower were spotless. Nice and quiet.
The food was amazing ate there a number of nights with no complaints.
Great location close to Public transport and a Number of food outlets within two minutes walking distance. Highly recommend to anybody

Last night 19/10/2024, we went to the Hotel for dinner. We arrived at 7.15pm and placed our order for our meals. We received our drinks and waited. I mentioned to my husband about our meals as everyone in the restaurant were already eating. They were not busy at this time. A lady was cleaning tables and must have seen us. She came out a little later and said that our meals would be ready in about 15 minutes or so. We had been waiting an hour and requested our money back. We will not be visiting this Upper Ross Hotel again.

This used to be a favourite but I hadn't been there for some years. The revamped restaurant is very attractive. The food is good and the service is good. Recommend a visit. It's certainly found it's way on to my favourites list and I've been recommending it to friends.

A fellow colleague and I were booked to stay here several nights. We weren't familiar with the accommodation and only lasted one night. Rooms have a communal bathroom and toilet facilities, constant intermittent noise in the corridor outside rooms from people opening and shutting doors to go to facilities. Further, the hotel dinner meal left us feeling hungry. It is what it is but is helpful to know before booking.

The food was beautiful. Great range of kids meals and I like that you have a variety of sides to choose from. The chicken schnitzel was easily the best I have had in Townsville. Great service and lovely family atmosphere.

Great little pub!! Meals came out quick and perfect timing after we finished the entree! Taste delicious great sizes and steak cooked to perfection!! Highly recommend, we will be back for more!! Pork belly entree was perfect and tasty and the chicken Parmi was delicious and cooked to perfection!!
