A fabulous location - walk across the boardwalk and reserve to the beach. The Ocean Bungalows are just great - with a deck overlooking a lagoon which is full of birdlife (and a few large eels, very interesting) and then out to the reserve and onto the ocean. Large, clean room with all needs. I thought the rooms had a great design, though, if using the toilet, your partner may wish to go out on the balcony to 'maintain the mystery' as there is no door to the toilet. |The large pool looked good though we didn't use this time. Great bistro with friendly team providing warm service and very decent food - Pizza was very good indeed!|Glad to have stayed here and extended a night as was so nice.

Avoid this place if you are under 25!!!!

I visited for a casual lunch with friends, and we were asked for our IDs upon arrival—which was reasonable, given that it’s a “bar”. We sat down, prepared to order, and were then stopped in the queue and asked for our IDs a second time. Though slightly irritating, we brushed it off.

However, midway through our meal—after already being served drinks—we were interrupted AGAIN to show our IDs. This third request, especially while we were eating, felt unnecessarily intrusive and unprofessional. When we politely noted we had already shown our IDs twice, the “manager” curtly replied, “I don’t care, just doing my job,” in a rather abrasive tone.

While I appreciate the need for ID checks when ordering alcohol, this experience was excessive. I won’t be returning.

Please fire that inhospitable manager. Seems to be a plethora of negative reviews.

The food itself was fine, though.

We had last night in one of the Beachside Coastal Bungalows. I admit to being a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, however, we could not fault it. Everything was spotlessly clean, and beautiful. Was great having access to the restaurant in such close proximity. We really loved our stay. Absolutely faultless. Thank you.

As a local I haven’t eaten here for some time however decided to try it again with friends. We couldn’t fault anything, floor staff were hospitable and our meals for 4 on a Monday night we all agreed were delicious… we will all be back again… nice and close ?

We were at the dining area today 10th July, for lunch with friends. It's a fairly casual affair, and we ordered our meals at the bar at 12:45pm. At 1:15 we asked where they were, to be told they wouldn't be long. During our long wait, we heard a lady telling the staff that her steak was inedible and cold - this was a portent of things to come. At 1:45 we went back to the pickup area to ask where our meals were, and lo and behold!, They were brought straight out to us. The barramundi had obviously come out of the oven or microwave, the potatoes were hard as a rock, the skin on the fish was as tough as leather and from my estimation, these meals had been ready for half an hour at the very least. The steak sandwich was exceptionally tough. The fish and chips weren't too bad, with thick batter surrounding very thin fillets.|We did notice that a large party of about 20 - 30 people arrived not long after we had ordered, and they must have been on a tour as they didn't order individually. Their food was brought to them long before ours, consumed, and all had departed well before we received our meals.|There was no apology, the staff just weren't interested.|Don't bother to go there.

I took my daughter for lunch ordered coffee 30 minutes before ordering food and got coffee after finishing food. Food was overpriced the fisherman's basket was worst I've had and nothing home battered or crumbed, chewy and served with broken mussel shells that cut my gum. The steak my daughter had was overcooked and tasted like it was defrosted in the microwave and cooked on same grill as the fish was unedible. Was offered a refund but never received it despite chasing it weeks. Offered a voucher never received it either. Would not recommend this place $84 for 2 ccoffees and 2 meals we didn't eat with bad service.

Went for dinner on our date night. I was a bit put off with each meal being $4 more than I wanted, but, it was so good. From the stunning views and lighting to the incredible meal it was truly splended. I'm not sure what the chef is doing but the barramundi was excellent warm subtle flavours were infused into every inch of the meal. To quote the great schwarzenegger "I'll be back"

Great location, beautiful views, plenty of indoor amd outdoor seating.
Food delicious. Pumpkin salad different than I've had before, an unusual sauce instead of classic balsamic/feta, and pumpkin slice served whole, however it was a real treat, tasted excellent, even the salad greens had great flavours and textures. Recommend.
Also had a bowl of chips. Didn't realise that the "chef salt" would be saffron, but beautifully cooked, very tasty.

Would recommend more outdoor lighting at the tables closer to the beach.
Overall lovely for a date night or a great place to bring the whole family in the day time. Plenty of place for kids to explore and still keep an eye on them.
