We have stayed here a few times previously. Unfortunately, it is under either new management or new ownership and is delightfully friendly as the fellow is, it misses the charm of the lovely old couple who had it previously. Much of the artwork is missing, the nice touches at the breakfast table are largely gone. Delightful fellow, and for an older place in quite good condition, just lack the lovely charm it used to have.

I was in the Avalon Room which was quiet, clean, comfortable, well-appointed and had nice views. The hosts were even able to provide a gluten-free breakfast for me, which was very nice. The only problem was getting the WiFi password. It wasn't printed anywhere in the room and the staff manually entered it into my phone but, when I asked for it to be written on a piece of paper so I could use it for my laptop too, the staff were always too busy.

Stayed one night in the Emsworth Room, our first time staying in a BnB. King bed was so comfy. Room was spacious. Nice Balcony to sit outside. Hosts were very warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back.

Unfortunately the old owners have retired. This place is missing the little things which made it homely. Like little biscuits for coffee in your room. No pods for coffee
machine. Milk stored in cupboard uht milk. Breakfast was scrambled eggs and ham I declined and ate out.
Sorry I won't be returning. New staff were polite.

What an absolute fine establishment I had the pleasure of staying here over night perfect location to where I needed to be to visit Ipswich. I had room1 spacious throughout with king bed batheroom seprerat office relax room and a balcony keeping its old original feel with new additions eg AC and cieling fan TV and bathroom fan very well maintained house 🏠 SERVED BREAKFAST at 7am reasonable price over all

I was a little disappointed with the room we had but it was clean and tidy.

The website said there would be bottled water in the room but there wasn’t. There was a coffee pod machine but no pods, and no milk in the fridge. In the cupboard were small two small containers one had coffee granules the other had 6 teabags.

Breakfast was basic cereals, croissant, toasted fruit bread, communal scrambled eggs and packet ham, a small selection of fruit, fruit juice and tea or coffee. There was a communal tub of spread and another of peanut butter which had obviously been well used so I didn’t eat from those. Single serves of butter and peanut butter would have been more hygienic.

The Asian gentleman serving breakfast was very pleasant and polite. He also checked us in and out. Breakfast is around a large square table with other guests.

There are minimum facilities in the en suite bathroom which included a tube of shampoo, shower cap and soap.

Our first stay but will definitely be a regular.
Beautiful rooms, beautiful gardens.
Loved the breakfast room to interact with Peter and Elizabeth, and other guests. Manners are cherished and enjoyed by all at breakfast. Turn your phone off and enjoy the experience.
