We were a family group of four with general admission tickets. We ordered and picked up our food and drinks ourselves. The outdoor atmosphere was great, and we enjoyed our experience; however, we wouldn't go out of our way to cross the river for this again. The audience seating in front of the concrete divider obstructed the view for all general admission attendees. There is definitely room for improvement.

Plenty of space and def no need to buy the expensive seats. We took our own and had a perfect view. You can take picnic food just no alcohol. They do have some food being served too and drinks if you want them. We went to the dog friendly showing of lion king. Good but it did stop for 30 mins as it was raining. Not a major issue but we got a bit wet.

Third visit, had seats in different section each time. Not a terrible seat in the space. Love the concept, outdoors and relaxing. Occasional siren otherwise you wouldn’t know you were in the city.
Would like a second option on menu for dinner but you are allowed to byo food. Love it!

A great family friendly experience. We arrived an hour beforehand and that was a perfect amount of time to get a good seat and settle in. The hot food sales close once the movie starts but other snacks are available for purchase throughout. There is also the option to pack your own food.

A nice evening out. Took quite a while before the movie actually started. But I liked the atmosphere, apart from the people loudly kissing next to me. Please don't. Good movie choices, good sound system. What I do think could be better is the way only the center is a good place to watch the movie from. The sides seem very much at the side.... Got some great samples from garnier to try. I'd recommend to a friend.

We went in Gold Grass seating at the Moonlight Cinema in the Roma Street Parklands.
Service & staff were very good but the seats were so uncomfortable. With the terraced hill, the beanbag seats are too big & makes it very difficult to find a comfortable position for your legs. It really wrecked the experience. I wouldn't pay to go again.

I decided to try Moonlight Cinem because I like exploring new experiences, but unfortunately, it wasn’t for me. The movie’s resolution felt low quality, which really took away from the experience. On top of that, the constant noise from birds and bats overhead and an annoying ants and bugs made it even less enjoyable. I only stayed for about 30 minutes before leaving. If you don’t mind these issues, it might be worth a try, but I can’t recommend it for a comfortable movie night under the stars.
