Came here for a comedy show! The place was nicely decked out and had a good atmosphere. For those who are familiar with Sydney, it felt quite like Newtown or similar. The seating was relatively comfortable and well spaced and the staff were super friendly and helpful! Parking is a bit of an issue and it fills up quickly but if you have an event here, definitely try coming early as you can find decent street parking - just be aware that the parking is a bit far from the actual powerhouse so if it’s raining, you may have to brave a bit of water!

The historic Brisbane Powerhouse that dates back to the 1920s is situated on Yaggera & Turrbal Country at 119 Lamington St,New Farm QLD 4005.

This is a wonderful public place that provides a large range of wonderful live entertainment for everyone's enjoyment.

This old powerhouse is situated right next to New Farm Park, which is a must-see for many activities 🤔

There are many varieties of entertainment, performed live by artists, such as live comedy skits & other assortment of musical art. 😃

There are weekend farmers markets & a seasonal outdoor cinema, which is a fantastic family-friendly experience.

The Brisbane Powerhouse is open from 9.00 am. until late, 7 days a week.

This venue is a cashless venue, although Bar Alto & Mary Mae's Bar & Kitchen will continue to accept cash.

There is paid parking available in the nearby streets, or you can park in New Farm Park, but being a public place, it pays to get there as early as possible 😉

An interesting refurbished building with some great shows throughout the year. A few places inside to buy some drinks or souvenirs, and although there's a small restaurant area, there's limited seating inside during peak times. An attractive venue next to the river to view some shows at the weekend!

Very cool place. I’m an architect and I do like so much this old industrial places refurbished and renewed in new forms. Very cool. There are various theatre rooms, not attended to any event though

Last night was incredible! I highly recommend it! Even though my partner initially thought it was a children's show, but… surprise 😮 we had a great time until the end 🤣. The costumes were stunning, the decorations were fantastic, and the performers were incredibly talented! There was so much talent on stage. I absolutely loved being there and I can't wait to go again! Well done 👏🏼👏🏼

It’s one of the best places for events like market, stand up comedy, shows, movies, art galeries etc.

At the moment they’re running their event for night feast (4-29 Oct) which is sort of food market that sells a lot of high and restaurants in the style of market..

The entrance fee is free but the total food course on the $70 for whatever uploaded in the picture
The duck gnocchi was bomb! 👍
The dumplings were authentic ! prawn and scallop combinations are so good👍
The baos were good and surprisingly the croquettes (vegetarian) one is so good!

Worth it and would love to go back to see more events.

It is probably gonna be better atmosphere at night for the market itself due to a lot of lights and the decorations around the venue!
