Disappointing Experience with Subpar Service

I recently visited Muffin Break, expecting a good coffee and muffin experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. The muffin I received was served in a crumpled paper wrap with no proper presentation whatsoever, and no proper utensils were provided to enjoy the food. It felt like minimal effort was put into the service, and for a shop that markets itself around quality coffee and baked goods, this was well below expectations.

I understand things can get busy, but there’s a certain standard that should be met, especially when paying for a treat. The lack of care in presentation and service left me quite dissatisfied. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience.

Life changing experience

The most delicious meal I have ever devoured. I wake up each day praising and thanking the muffin break gods for blessing my tastebuds with the double choc muffin. Other enjoyed muffins include the raspberry white choc and blueberry. My only complaint is that there isn't more muffin break to go around. Perhaps a muffin break warehouse and drive thru for all my muffin break needs (and wants 😂). Additionally, I would like to request longer hours. Please consider staying open to at least 11pm for my late evening muffin break cravings.

Thank you, muffin break, chermside you have been by my side ever since I was a wee lad and hopefully until my last breath when I am old and decaying with my last words and legacy being "I love muffin break". Service is also splendid. Those employees really know how to put the muffin in the bag. Will be returning once again soon to enjoy a delicious treat.

27 th January 9.30 am. I have not been to Muffin break for a long time, due to service and food, but we decided to go this morning to see if things have changed. Sadly not the case.we ordered a piece of orange and cranberry bread, toasted and a ham and cheese toastie and two coffees. Let’s start with the cranberry bread. Asked if I wanted it toasted I said yes. The staff went through the whole row of this item in the window, and picked out an end piece. I know someone has to buy it and that’s fine, but to go thru a number of pieces in the window and take that one……mmm.she put in the toaster and after about four minutes it cam out flat as a pancake and broken on the end. Not appealing. Served in a bag with one butter, I requested a second butter, to be told they had given me butter and they now charge for extra. I declined. The ham and cheese toastie took at least 7 to 8 mins to cook and was also flattened and the cheese oozing out.
Let’s talk coffee. I ordered a half strength skinny cap extra hot and a quarter strength skinny cap also extra hot. They were mildly warm and the taste was nothing like coffee. It had a weird taste that neither of us could finish. Sorry, but I will not go back there again no matter what.
Staff need training on customer service and sometimes even cleanliness.

Disappointed to find out the $9 muffin and coffee deal no longer exists and it has been replaced with a cheaper savoury deal.

Also, the is no glass sliding door on the cabinet to enclose the muffins and so there were multiple flies and insects on top of the muffins which is unhygienic and unappetising. This issue should be remediated even if it’s installing a curtain rod to hand a curtain net to stop the flies.

I must say though the staff are always friendly, helpful and pleasant to deal with!!

I don't like leaving negative reviews but I work in customer service so I feel the feedback may be constructive. I was at your store Thursday at about 5pm and thought I'd buy a sweet treat. I stood at the cabinet for a couple of minutes looking and not once did the young girl stop talking to her boyfriend over the counter, to serve me. I eventually left and purchased from a nearby competitor. Based on some of the other reviews I think it would be beneficial to maybe give your staff some proper training on customer service. There's nothing worse than having a decent product but the service is what's letting you down.

During my recent visit to Muffin Break Chermside, I took advantage of their $9 special deal for "Coffee and a Muffin." Regrettably, my experience was disappointing, as the muffin provided was notably small, and the coffee served was cold. Upon raising this concern with the staff, the coffee was promptly replaced. However, the replacement coffee was exceedingly weak and lacked flavour. Consequently, I departed the establishment feeling dissatisfied, especially since I had to catch a bus shortly thereafter. I'm disappointed with this experience.I hope Muffin Break will improve to keep their quality high.
