Had a pre Civic Theatre dinner at the restaurant:
Easily booked online.

Jugs of cocktails for $26 were fabulous, food selection/menu, quality and flavours were very good.
Very enjoyable meal with friendly service.

* However the ladies toilet was beyond comprehension- absolutely disgusting, I alerted the bar staff when leaving.
It should be VERY clean, bins emptied, soap replenished and should smell fresh, I felt like I was literally standing inside the toilet!

Really great stay. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Room was a little outdated however bathroom had been updated.
Food in the restaurant was delicious and all staff were friendly and helpful.
Located in a great spot within walking distance to the beach and the library.

perfect, is it 5 star no, you are not paying for 5 star. clean, tidy great service, great location. every time i am staying in Newcastle i check if they have a room as my first port of call. never let me down stayed there 6 times in the last 3 months.

The service of the food was was okay but not great, firstly I ordered mains and the burger bun came out wet, cold and soggy. One of my friends ordered a prawn pasta and it had limited prawns and a lot of squid that wasn't meant to be in there, then the other friend didn't even get their pizza until later because they messed it up. Later with dessert my two friends both ordered apple crumble and it was completely cold and hard in the middle, I ordered sticky date pudding and the pudding itself was very dry and dense. But all that in consideration everytime we go there previously they were very good and quick.

Arrived early, like 9am and was able to check in straight away. Nice rooms, with all you need really. Convenient location, near restaurants, could walk to the beach and pub downstairs had a great atmosphere and excellent place for a drink.

My husband and I arrived from interstate today, and we called in here for a drink and a meal.
Best Chicken Schnitzel we have had. Very Good size, very reasonable prices too.

Please update your restaurant hours, the elevator signage says something different to the room menu and online resources promoting your venue say something different again. There is no food anywhere close by after 8pm, will have to go for a 10 walk a few streets away but it's July so it's freezing in Newcastle. Hotel rooms are decent for the price.

My friend and I had dinner here and the food was delicious ? highly recommend having a meal here, the people that work here are wonderful and so friendly. The cocktails were amazing ?
