Looking at some of the bad reviews here made me wonder if we're talking about the same place!
A great ideally situated hotel opposite the Botanical Gardens within easy walking distance of a lot of attractions and some great bars and restaurants.
Room was large with a very comfortable king size bed. Nice shower and love the Japanese toilet seat
Nice outside areas with great pool.
Would definitely stay again. Thoroughly recommended

Great location. Just across the road from the beautiful City Botanical Garden. Well maintained old fashioned styled hotel. Clean rooms. Friendly staffs at reception. However the hotel building’s exterior purple lighting at night gave us an uncomfortable vibe.

Location is fantastic, we walked everywhere from the hotel. Pool was awesome too. Decor is a little tired but not awful. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Hotel parking is very convenient and reasonably priced for inner city parking. I would use again

Lovely stay. Could not rate more highly. Comfortable bed and pillows, immaculately clean room, the room had housekeeping every day. Complimentary drinks voucher on arrival, a nice touch. Lovely clean pool and jacuzzi. Efficient yummy well priced room service menu. The location of hotel is excellent, just 5 min walk from brisbane river and across from|the botanic gardens. The staff were very friendly and efficient. This is a very well run hotel which offers excellent value for an extremely comfortable customer experience.

Great location opposite the original Botanical Gardens near the river and next to the CBD and a 15-minute walk from the Lagoon on the South Bank. Staff were very good and helped us with a very early morning check in. It does have a feeling of old grand, the lobby and restaurant are very charming, it feels like some areas might be in need of a small refurb. As a family of 4 we were able to book a room with two double beds. It has a very nice, practical pool to the rear of the hotel with loungers and a hot tub. Breakfast was plentiful and well received, the car park was also very reasonable and accessible.

Wow, we have stayed here a few times, never had a problem, love the place. In saying that, I hope the next time I have to phone reservations I don’t have to deal with Christopher. He is one of, if not the RUDEST person I have ever had to speak with on the phone. Not an ounce of friendliness, politeness or warmth in his whole approach. So stern and businesslike. As a matter of fact he was very intimidating, I could not wait to get off the phone. Loosen up Christopher … in a position such as you have, some people skills would go a long way.

Great location for exploring the best of Brisbane and accessing great food. The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel had a nice pool area. ||Loved the fact it wasn’t high rise. Had an awesome room with a park view. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
