Old style cinema with great sound and clear wide screens. Lots of leg room to stretch out too. Always something special on here; most recently saw the filmed Broadway performance of Girl From the North Country here, a show I'd given up on seeing. Loved it!

Went and saw Gladiator 2 today and absolutely loved the experience at Warrina Cineplex. The staff were really friendly, prices were very reasonable for tickets and food/drinks. The sound in the cinema was excellent. Amenities were clean and really well done.

Love love LOVED this cinema, very cute original 50s style cinema. They show a mix of art house and major movies. Moderate sized cady bar. The place has been maintained well so has the original vibe but remains in great condition. A fun experience and definitely worth the trip if you love older cinemas. There is a dress code! Men not to wear singlets. I would return 🙂

Extraordinary cinema experience that has been lost in modern cinemas. It’s like going back in time to when going to the pictures was an occasion and it’s remarkable to see that this sort of venue still exists. Make sure you check it out and keep this gem going strong.

Such a beautiful cinema/theatre with classic style. Love visiting this place. Staff helpful and polite. Does have a dress code so almost been caught out with a singlet on but thankfully had a long-sleeve shirt on hand. Great flavoursome popcorn and a really good range of flicks released!

Beautiful old art deco building with two people serving , one in the booking office and one in the shop who I think are probably as old as the building. The elderly gentleman ticketing was soo pleasant , but no nonsense and very strict, I think he must have been a Major or higher in the airforce. ( He just looked like an airforce chap) But I digress. The popcorn was actually fresh and wonderful unlike all other movie houses(cinemas), where it is always old, half popped and over salted. Drinks were available, I think wine too, I’m not sure, but why anyone would exclude coke and only offer a poor substitute called Pepsi, heaven knows. The seating was lovely, very strange drinks holders, they were hollow. ? The picture bright and the sound superlative. All in all a magical experience, almost like going back in time. Thank you Warrina. Oh, and ps. , they do a breakfast show where tea, cake and sausage rolls are served after the show. Delicious, I know because I ate one while I was first looking around. Needless to say I was castigated most severely because I didn’t have a morning ticket. At the time i still thought to myself, wow!, what a cinema, what a lovely gesture. Spoil yourself and visit Warrina, you know you want to and you won’t be disappointed. Chow!

How did we miss this cinema...definitely a wow cinema! We are told it was built 30 years ago as a reminder to the good old days. A great cinema to watch Top Gun 2 and now we can't wait to see Elvis movie there. The screen is new and huge and the sound is clear and just the right decibels to sit at the front which we love to do to feel the action. The staff are all lovely people who help to make the whole atmosphere a true art Deco experience. There is even a dress code men have to wear a shirt! I highly recommend checking this amazing cinema...not to be missed on your travels to Townsville!
