My Husband and I have had dinner at this venue numerous times before it was refurbished and it was wonderful so we decided to go back. The refurbishment was fantastic great location unfortunately the meals have gone downhill drastically. My husband and my vegetables were stone cold. I took mine back and politely requested my mash and veggies to be hot. Came back about 5 minutes later still stone cold and my chicken was dry at least that was not stone cold. Won’t be returning paying nearly $90 for our order not good enough.

My wife and I ordered dinner at 700. By 830 it still haven't arrived on our table. We asked for a refund and left.

It might be worth noting there were several others that were tired of waiting to arrive on their dinner table. They too were asking for refunds.

I don't know what went wrong tonight but the service was absolutely appalling.

The service was so bad I won't waste my time going back there again. I can understand waiting 30-40 mts but, not 1.5hrs. That's bad.

Waited 2 hours for dinner on a Friday, meal was lovely when it eventually came. Unsure if understaffed or under equipped but I hope they can find their groove soon. Poor staff looked so disheartened by the end of the night.

Second time coming here after the reopen of the menu. I thought I’d give them benefit of the doubt and try coming back after receiving late & burnt grilled fish the first time. This time was worse - they forgot our meals until we prompted service and they had realised they hadn’t even put them through after we’d paid. This was an hour after being served. We ordered a coke to tie over time while we waited - the cup had chunks of old lemon and questionable amounts of dirt in it. We were not offered a refund for the coke. Initially staff offered to refund us and still put the meals out, but once one meal arrived they told us to wait 5 more minutes for the other meal. We asked about the refund again and they took our food from the table and said they could not provide both. The venue itself is in such a beautiful location, it’s a really big shame that they can’t operate functionally. Don’t waste your money or time.

This is one of Townsvilles best pubs. It's situated on the river, with outstanding views and a cool, social vibe. It has you're classic pub atmosphere, with a more complimentary patronage, and shares the best parts of the 4 seasons. I've been going there since it was built and it never lost its touch. Staff are great, the place is clean, the food is classic pub food, and there is plenty of space.

The renovation here is an absolute game changer. It's been done so well. They've fixed everything that was wrong with it before. There's now a bar on the deck, and no more cattle-hoarding meals line-up - and they bring your meal to the table.

The new big screens on the deck are great, however one major drawback that should be addressed is that they were not tuned to the High-Definition channels, which is a massive bugbear for me, and would have me consider Twin City Hotel to watch sport instead. Would be good to have the volume turned up for some commentary too.

I'm so sorry..your Reno's are beautiful but the meals are awful..
I sent my meal back as it was missing some of the ingredients that was meant to be in it and I then got it back and it was still uneatable..
Also I've just been going through the other reviews and sadly the reviews have not been good..
Your service was great 🙂

Went there for dinner last night it was great! The meal was amazing.
There were no change tables in the bathrooms to change my 4 month old but the manger was so undersanding and helpful and let me change him in her office!
Very happy!
